Benjamin Newover is the roughed up and hard ass Leader of Team Metal, The wrecker team the book will follow. Benjamin Newover sounds similar to Steve Blum and carries this egotistical yet carrying personality. His main objective is to keep everyone on his team alive. At the beginning of the book, Benjamin is in a deep depression as his closest friend the original fourth member of the team was killed. This inspires his more conserved and rationalized thought pattern throughout the book. Benjamin has a tough love relationship with Character Hadley Faraday seeing him as a worthy successor to his friend yet trying to bond with his friend's replacement. He eventually passes on leadership to Hadley Faraday after seeing him as the best person to lead the team when he dies
"YOU ARE NOT A SERGEANT HERE, HADLEY FARADAY...YOU ARE A WRECKER AND A MEMBER OF MY TEAM." Add emphasis to the word "my"
"Dutch, John! let's kick up the pace Overlord is firing Zeus' Fist now, Faraday! get UP and get your ass moving...OR WE ARE GONNA DIE" This is a panicked Benjamin taking place in the Battle of Los Angeles running from the kill zone for the Zeus' fist Orbital strike

Dutch is the comedic relief of the group but it slowly spirals way as he shows a more egotistical and jealous side when Benjamin appoints Hadley leader. Dutch is a young Irish American who speaks with an Irish accent. He is one of the bigger members of Team Metal being their heavy weapons specialist
"So yer the replacement eh?" insert chuckle "Ye don't look like much, I'm curious about if you survive initiation"

John Willard is a dark slightly fatalistic and nihilistic man. He was forced to become a wrecker as a punishment for crimes he committed, This impacted him and his whole character story is redemption as he wants to die knowing he did something good. John Willard is conflicted throughout the book as he wants to leave Team Metal but...he can't due to his devotion to his team
