The story is set one month after a comet has fallen for the first time in a thousand years in Japan. Mitsuha, a high school girl living in the countryside, wants to live in the city because she is tired of life in the country. Then, there's Taki. He's a high school student living in Tokyo with his friends while working as a part-timer at an Italian restaurant. He also has a strong interest in fine arts involving architecture. One day, Mitsuha dreams of herself as a young man. On the other hand, Taki also has a dream where he is a female student attending high school in the countryside. What's the secret behind their dreams?
| RULES FOR APPLYING |
- At least try to watch the anime before auditioning. I'd like for you to have a feel of the characters, and how they act first. But if you haven't seen it yet, that won't stop me from casting you.
NOTE: That whomever is casted as Taki Tachibana will have to be able to pull off two different personalities.
The reason being because the the two main characters [ Taki and Mitsuha ] switch bodie.
- You do not have to sound exactly like the Japanese voice actors, but with an English accent. Please, just do your best, and invision the character.
- You must have a decent mic for recording, such as BlueSnowball, Yetti, etc.
- You must have a decent recording program, such as Adobe Audition, Audacity, etc.
- When you record your audition lines, say each line 3 times, and try your best with each. Give a different emotion, or pitch so I can see your range.
- BUT MOST OF ALL; Have fun.
| RULES IF CASTED |
- You mustn't be a slacker. If I ask for a specific set of lines to be done in one week, they MUST be done in one week.
NOTE: If you become sick, or you go to colledge and are bombarded with SO MANY exams that you just can't record, then please tell me, and I will extend your deadline, and understand.
If this becomes frequent, where you are always to busy, I will recast you entirely.
- Please be nice to all of the other members, casted. This rule should be a given.
- You must have Skype, so that we can all communicate, as well as so I am able to give you your lines.
- When you are recording your lines, keep everything quiet in the background, except for your voice.
No ticks, clicks, pops, scratches, taps, typing, meowing, banging, etc.
- DO NOT AUDITION IF YOU KNOW YOU WILL BE TO BUSY FROM FEBRUARY 2017 - JUNE 2017 -

She is the Grandmother of Mitsuha, and Yotsuha. She teaches about braiding, and is very wise.
Good morning.
[ Calmly ] Mitsuha, Yotsuha, do you know "Musubi"? "Musubi" is the old way of calling the local guardian, "God".
Good morning, Mitsuha. [ Pause ] Huh, oh? [ Calmly, fixing her glasses ] You're not Mitsuha, are you?
She works with Taki in the resturant. Taki has a small crush on her, whilst Mitsuha talks to her in his body for him. She's nice, and beautiful. All the workers have a crush on her. She's can be childlike, and likes cute things. She's smart, and helpful.
Oh well. Thank you for today. See you at work.
Taki-kun [ giggle ] Did you wait long?
[ annoied / angry] That dick from earlier.
These characters range from Male to Female, and Adult to Teenager.
There is:

- Women worker
Any background murmurs will just be made up by the already existing cast. If no one auditions for anyone here, then I will distribute them amung those already casted. When auditioning, please state which ' Extra ' you are aiming for.
[ State who you are auditioning for, and then say some random line you think may fit. Please give an example of concern, happiness, disgust, conversation, and annoyance, for each part you try out for. ]
He is the best friend of Sayaka, and Mitsuha. He bonds nicely with Taki when he is inside Mitsuhas body, and is your typical highschool student.
[ Relization ] I know.... That was... [ A bit foolish ] Your previous life! Or maybe your subconcious linked to the Everett Multiverse! - - [ Cut off by Sayaka ]
[ Explaining the plan to Sayaka ] We have water gel explosives for construction, [ Talks while chewing food ] at our storage site.
