Justice in Unity [Other Roles, in a rush to cast!]

Justice in Unity [Other Roles, in a rush to cast!]

Project Overview

The story of a lone-wolf French Detective, Elliot Mortensen, and his life after having a partner forced onto him. Starts out as a comedy and ends in tragedy, so to speak.

Here is the project on BTVA: http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/members/TeacupBiscuits/casting-call/Justice-in-Unity-Other-Roles/

Why am I in a rush to cast?
Because I'm in a rush to cast.
#mostlegitanswerever
No, I'm really just in a rush to cast because I want to know who to send scripts to (when they're done of course, since they're not yet) as soon as possible. Call me weird, I'm just like that.

I forgot a lot of roles (and added some) in the original casting call (found here: http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/members/TeacupBiscuits/casting-call/Justice-in-Unity/) so here's the rest.

The game is made with RPG Maker VX Ace, and uses mainly default resources that came with the program, combined with music from other games and a shitload of scripts from rpgmaker.net

This is going to be one of those things where the actors are going to have to keep in touch while I send over scripts of what's done so far. (And a lot of the roles below are well in advance of the character's appearance in the game, so...)

Basically, just make sure you can keep in touch if you are cast. If I send you a script a month or two after you've been cast, make sure you can still record for it.

Note: There might be a lot of screaming, crying, and cursing in this project. Also, I'm not looking for a voice with a specific accent or age to it unless otherwise specified.

Feel free to add me on Skype and give me a call if you have any questions!

Requirements:
- Good quality audio is preferred (however, if you don't have a good microphone, I'm sure I can work some editing magic somehow)
- Must be easy to contact if chosen for a role (preferably via email, however Skype also accepted)

[Southern accent preferred.]

Role type: Side (Cameo from other story canon)
Voice type: Medium

A somewhat clumsy Southerner with various talents. He is very fickle with jobs, and will often switch occupations with the drop of a hat. Otherwise, he's very friendly and outgoing, despite sometimes seeming a bit childish.
When we meet him in game, he is a pathologist examining the body of the victim of the last case in the game. He follows our main characters to the endgame.

  • (a bit stunned/confused) Well, to be honest... I can't figure out what it was that killed her. Nothing seems to be wrong with her, really. No open wounds, no internal bleeding, no fractures... All I can say, though, is that she certainly didn't fall off of that bridge.

  • (casual/confident) Oh, don't worry, I can defend myself. I was part of a gang once, y'know? (pause, stammered) Uh, n-no, I mean, we didn't commit any crimes. We weren't that kind of gang. We were trouble-makers, yeah, but... not criminals.

  • (somewhat scared) Here's the part where I would freak out and run away if I wasn't already committed to this case.

Role type: Extra (Cameo from SIMULATOR: Operations)
Voice type: Medium or Medium-Low

He has a smooth, almost melodic, medium-pitched voice. He could very clearly sing if he wanted to.

Attention is rather borderline, and not to mention lacks self-confidence. He is always wearing a large yellow mask over his head, and used to insist that if he were to ever take it off, people would drop dead upon seeing his face.
He used to be a happy and snobby TV show contestant, but after a string of chaotic and life-threatening events (including but not limited to his own kidnapping), he's gone back to his "old self", a depressed (and depressing) young man who just wants to be accepted.
He has a bit of a sailor's mouth.

When we meet him in-game, he's attending a psychology session with Dr. Cheshire, with Psycho by his side.

  • (solemn) I messed up, and I got confused. Next thing I knew, I'd had this guy fired and was trying to track down a f**king serial killer so I could be /friendly/ with him! You'd think /I/ was the insane one.

  • (serious) I need help getting used to the idea of going outside with this stupid mask off. I've spent so long convinced that people would die if I didn't have the mask on, and now I can't bring myself to take it off.

  • (nervous) I'll try... (pause) I'll see you around, Doc.

[Latin American accent optional.]

Role type: Side (Cameo from other story canon)
Voice type: Medium-Low OR Medium

A Brazillian odd-eyed cop working in North America. He is rather sensitive, but he tries to be an outgoing party animal type of guy. Even so, he is actually very serious, and will show it when he needs to.
When we meet him in game, he's been assigned to the same case as Mortensen's group, causing a bit of conflict.
He is brought back into play by Mortensen during the last case of the game, however, and follows our main characters to their endgame.

  • (defensive) Look, it's not my fault that my boss told me to come here, okay? My boss is a dick. He probably knew someone else was already on this case and just wanted to piss me off.

  • (happy shouting) Let's get this party started! (normal) Who is it we're tracking down?

  • (terrified) What in the Hell IS that thing?! THAT'S what we're after?!

WILL CAST MULTIPLE PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE!

[British accent optional.]

Role type: Side/Extra
Voice type: Any [Will be edited a lot, probably, so it doesn't matter... and in fact, the worse quality the audio is, the better, probably.]

The victim of what appears to be a suicide... however, no one is sure what the cause of death was, exactly, not even Dr. Cheshire.

  • (scared) It burns... God, it hurts! (pause, frantic) I can't move! What have you done to me?!

  • (evil/insane) I thought you loved me... I've waited long enough, don't you think? It's time for me to get my revenge.

NOTE: Elie is pronounced "Eh-lee-eh".

[French accent optional.]

Role type: Extra
Voice type: Medium OR Medium-High

The deceased wife of Elliot Mortensen. She really only has one genuine line, but she appears as an easter egg during the endgame under certain circumstances.

  • (loving) Elie, what's wrong? Hee hee, you're not going to propose to me again, are you? I've already said yes a gazillion times!

  • (angry) You bastard! I was kidnapped, and where the hell were you?! Did you come to save me in time?! BARELY! IT'S YOUR FAULT I'M DEAD!

  • (dark) You let me die. Where were you to help Quinlan? To help countless others? You're a monster; a killer!

WILL CAST MULTIPLE PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE!

Role type: Side/Extra
Voice type: Any, though dark-and-evil-sounding voices from Medium-Low to Low are preferred. However, he never actually talks, so... yeah, any voice.

The supposed murderer in the last case of the game. His existence, however, is a subject of debate.
He is not unlike a ghost, and honestly, he vaguely reminds me of Slenderman. Oops?

  • (creepy breathing noises)

NOTE: Cheshire is pronounced "Cheh-shy-er".

Role type: Extra (Cameo from SIMULATOR: Operations)
Voice type: Anywhere from Low to Medium

He has a dark-sounding voice, somewhat deep, and rather evil sounding. It may or may not be somewhat gravelly.

Psycho is actually somewhat the opposite of what his name suggests; he is not a psychopath, though he is rather murderous. His weaknesses are his heightand his emotions.
Psycho is cocky most of the time, and almost sounds arrogant when saying certain things. He used to be a serial killer obsessed with collecting people's heads (that's a secret though so shhh), but after everything that happened post admitting himself to a TV show, he's slowly mellowed into a relatively normal person, all things considered.

When we meet him in-game, he's by Attention's side during a session with Dr. Cheshire.

  • (somewhat concerned) Mike, relax. It's fine.

  • (apologetic) Sorry, Doctor. He gets like this sometimes. It's a condition, I swear.

  • (serious/friendly) You're not half bad as a psychiatrist, Dr. Cheshire. You've earned my respect.
