Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Musical ONLINE PRODUCTION
Project Overview
This is a fan production of the musical Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. It will be posted to YouTube with animatics set to our voices in one part (with an "intermission") so as to give the appearance of being like a real production. We will also have various promo videos posted before to promote the final production. This hopefully will take 6 months to a year to complete the recording, although I don't know how long it will take the animators (including me) to finish the visuals.

Latest Updates

Production Progress will be on hold until further notice due to personal life with the director. Thank you all for auditioning, auditions will be back up as soon as reality is back on track.

Not Cancelling the Project
While the auditions have been slow coming in, I have decided not to cancel the project. Although we may do some side projects while waiting for a full cast, it looks like we might be able to make it after all with some patience and determination. -
Should I cancel?
We have gotten a very underwhelming amount of responses to this casting call. I may end up canceling the project altogether, but I am going to discuss with the currently casted cast first to see if that's what we want to do or not. Just be aware a cancellation may happen. -
Deadline + Casting
As we haven't been getting any auditions for this, I am going to try to keep extending the deadline as long as needed until we get a full cast. For the ensemble members, I may cast a few of them as some of the brothers if needed. Honestly, I don't care if any of the brothers are being voiced with female voices or male voices anymore, I just really need them cast. I will be updating the gender in certain roles that I feel could be played by any gender. -
Pre-Deadline Casting
Starting Friday October 15th I will start casting roles that I feel will be best for the parts. This does not mean it's the deadline, but just means being cast if know for sure that "this is the voice I really want for this part". However Judah and Simeon will not be cast until the end as I did auditions for those as well and am relying on my two co directors to cast them fairly and without personal bias.
Narrates the journey of Joseph and progresses the story along. Vocally demanding role.
(From Prologue)Some folks dream of the wonders they'll do Before their time on this planet is through Some just don't have anything planned They hide their hopes and their heads in the sand Now I don't say who is wrong, who is right But if by chance you are here for the night Then all I need is an hour or two To tell the tale of a dreamer like youWe all dream a lot -- some are lucky, some are not But if you think it, want it, dream it, then it's real You are what you feelBut all that I say can be told another way In the story of a boy whose dreams came true And he could be you
(From Jacob and Sons)Way way back many centuries ago, not long after the Bible began Jacob lived in the land of Canaan, a fine example of a family man Jacob, Jacob and sons, depended on farming to earn their keep Jacob, Jacob and sons, spent all of their days in the fields with sheepJacob was the founder of a whole new nation, Thanks to the number of children he'd had He was also known as Israel but most of the time His sons and his wives used to call him dad Jacob, Jacob and sons, men of the soil, of the sheaf and crook Jacob, Jacob and sons, a remarkable family in anyone's book
(This song is optional but preferred) (From Potiphar)Potiphar was counting shekels in his den below the bedroom When he heard a mighty rumpus clattering above him Suddenly he knew his riches couldn't buy him what he wanted Gold would never make him happy if she didn't love himLetting out a mighty roar Potiphar burst through the doorSing a song of your choice NOT from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, can be as long or as short as you would like.

(From Close Every Door)Close every door to me, hide all the world from me Bar all the windows and shut out the light Do what you want with me, hate me and laugh at me Darken my daytime and torture my nightIf my life were important I would ask will I live or die But I know the answers lie far from this world Close every door to me, keep those I love from me Children of Israel are never alone For I know I shall find my own peace of mind For I have been promised a land of my ownJust give me a number instead of my name Forget all about me and let me decay I do not matter, I'm only one person Destroy me completely then throw me awayIf my life were important I would ask will I live or die But I know the answers lie far from this world Close every door to me, keep those I love from me Children of Israel are never alone For we know we shall find our own peace of mind For we have been promised a land of our own
(From Finale)I closed my eyes, drew back the curtain To see for certain what I thought I knew Far far away, someone was weeping But the world was sleeping Any dream will doI wore my coat with golden lining Bright colors shining, wonderful and new And in the east, the dawn was breaking And the world was waking Any dream will doA crash of drums, a flash of light My golden coat flew out of sight The colors faded into darkness I was left aloneMay I return to the beginning The light is dimming, and the dream is too The world and I, we are still waiting Still hesitating Any dream will doGive me my colored coat, my amazing colored coat! Give me my colored coat, my amazing colored coat!

(From One More Angel in Heaven)Father, we've something to tell you, a story of our time A tragic but inspiring tale of manhood in its prime You know you had a dozen sons -- well now that's not quite true But feel no sorrow, do not grieve, he would not want you toThere's one more angel in Heaven There's one more star in the sky Joseph we'll never forget you It's tough but we're gonna get my There's one less place at our table There's one more tear in my eye But Joseph the things that you stood for Like -- er, truth and light never die
