I Am Error (A sci-fi, adventure, romance story)

Jasper is a man from a different time. For an unknown reason (to him at least) his mind was uploaded to a computer and left there for 500 years. He later wakes by what seems like to be an error in a new body called a "Husk". He is lost and confused mentally with mind scrambled from years floating aimlessly in a computer and now possesses a body meant for military use only, yet somehow he's still trying to make the best of it (or unhealthily pushes it down).

Grew up in Germany, spent most of his life on Earth in the MD/DC area (so feel free to play with the accent).  He would be a typical Millenial/GenZ who likes brands, social media, Disney... he also is pretty smart and clever. The more he learns about himself and remembers things in his past he wonders more and more that he wasn't really a good person. Eifi is an amazing hardworking woman, he feels that he should support her and be the best that he could be. Even though he has no status, he still seeks to be with her and to hopefully make their relationship work.

Helmi is at her core an eccentric mad scientist who is learning to be a better person.  She has a brilliant mind and has lots of quirks (mostly involving never combing her hair).  She grew up with an ethically ambiguous mother who is also the head scientist of their people. Helmi also grew up with privilege and money, but that came with emotionally distant parents, and siblings that drifted away over time. 

Helmi's way of dealing with issues is avoidance, being flighty, and a bit weaselly, which slowly has been changing as she's fallen in love with Turk.  A relationship that doesn't make sense logically, but the heart says otherwise.

Other facts is that she's 34, identified by her wild red hair and freckles, is nearly deaf but has hearing aids so listening to loud music is common, also is a bit of a rambler.

Turk is from a species of alien that are more hit first and think later. Built strong and standing at a tall 6'8" he's your big body guard. He's got a bad boy past full of gang life and drugs, but has been turning his life around slowly but surely. He's got a teasing side of him, he's loyal to a fault (which is good and bad), and protective of the people who are close to him.

His relationship with Helmi doesn't make sense logically, but emotionally is just right. He makes up for her faults and she makes up for his. He doesn't feel deserving of this, but Helmi is breaking through that little by little.

Fun facts: has a daughter, loves to read, is a big into motorcycles, also is pretty tattooed up.

Eifi is more or less the princess of the Dabal people. Her father is the leader of the nation which runs kind of like a true Democracy. Being at the top definitely has it's perks, but also lots of burden since she handles a lot of the family's social media/presence and too has to have a presence for her people. She's all about image and looking her best and being on trend.

She and Helmi are best friends, even though there is a bit of an age difference between the two. Both grew up together and trust each other. Sometimes its good to have friends in high places to make sure things that shouldn't be seen by the public stays out of the public. Jasper lives with Eifi, mainly since he is the safest at her house than any lab, and both have grown rather fond of each other. He's the only person who she feels that she can tear down his walls and be herself instead of a controlled and reserved individual. He see's the future in such wide eyed wonder that makes her rethink the world she takes for granted.

Fun facts: best nationality she looks would be Korean, is an only child, and loves movie watching (maybe a bit too much).

Isolde is the emotionally distant and cold mother to Helmi. She's complicated individual. She's worked hard to be where she's at, a woman who is the head of the science branch of their government and the forefront to a lot of war time bio-weapons. She's more or less happily married, or at least in a good partnership with her second husband Henry. She gets on Helmi's case a lot since both are very similar in how they rationally view the world, but Helmi has a heart while Isolde's has a prison security center around it.

She's manipulative and normally gets her way. She will respect those who stand up to her and wait for the "I told you so" moments when they will come.

Fun facts: she's in her 60s, silver white hair, always dresses classy, will always follow curiosity "for the sake of science", and deep down she wants to be a better mother and person, it's just hard for her to do so.
