ABOUT THE CHARACTER

Ami Hiromi Onuki is known for her girly-girl and goody-two-shoes personality. As the optimist, she always looks on the bright side of things and finds a solution to every situation she is involved in. She loves rainbows, bunnies (cute animals), sparkles and anything else typically pretty, which is the opposite of Yumi, who likes things more targeted to a tomboyish and unisex demographic.

She also cares a lot about how other people think, and tries not to be selfish. This makes Ami willing to help everyone and find solutions for anyone she cares. On the other side, however, she also hides her real mind and opinions in order to never disappoint others.

ABOUT THE CHARACTER

Yumi's demeanor is not just like Ami's. She is sarcastic, cynical, vain, and gained with self-importance. She loves things like ninjas and anything else rough and tough. She rarely signs in any excitement as "she is too cool" to show it. For some reasons, she comes off as rude and insults others she sees as "not cool".

Despite being a similar age group with and more serious than Ami, Yumi is also more impetuous than Ami and rushes headlong into a decision before thinking. However, Yumi has a mature side, too, and for some reasons with Ami's childish obsessions. She also has a big heart and is willing to help while she can.

Harmony is a small girl with blonde hair in a flip curl and blue eyes. She generally wears a pink blouse, green overalls, a green bow in her hair and black shoes. She's a superfan who creeps on the band.

Pierre Griffin is a nerd, a poem writer, and Ami's ex-pen pal from Paris, Idaho. He's a close friend of Roseanna and Destiny, and is the smartest kid in school. However, he is bait for bullies.

Desmond Slick Shady, known as Slick Shady, is Puffy AmiYumi's temporary manager who won a bet Kaz lost. When Kaz won the girls back, Slick became a fraud real estate agent who offers timeshare scams of foreboding condos.

ABOUT THE CHARACTER

Granny Akane Morikawa is Ami's Grandma. She believed that Ami was a wig maker and that Yumi and Kaz were her assisstants. Ami lied about being a wig maker because she did not want to give her grandma a heart attack, because according to Ami, she is very traditional, as she believes things like phones and toothbrushes "steal your soul!". Eventually Ami had to confess to Granny that she's a rockstar, however Granny understood and was proud of Ami since being a rockstar is Ami's passion in life.

She should sound like Kim Mai Guest's Role.

ABOUT THE CHARACTER

Officer Patrick "Patty" Shane James, Esquire is a police officer of the Kingston Police Department (KPD). He is the chief's best on the force along with his partner in crime, Officer Aria, who frequently gets assigned with him. Plus, he's the uncle of Roseanna, Destiny, and Dom, and the brother of Danielle. All Cosenzas.

Farmer Zeke H. Vincent is a farmer of Happy Acres Farm and a friend of Ami, Yumi, and Kaz. He's a kind, old gentleman who cares very deeply about his animals and farm animals in general

The editor is where you edit the episode. As the editor, your job is to edit the animatic, composite the shots, edit the shots together, add cool effects and transitions, and send in the XML file and picture lock so I can make the music and sound design and send in the stems if you wanna finalize the edit.

You can use any program, but Apple Motion and Final Cut Pro X are preferable. Also, for the compositing, I'm going for an anime style of compositing (Diffusion, Realistic lighting, etc.)

EDIT: Since I'm planning to switch to Pro Tools for Audio Post, once I get that, you can export an AAF, and Picture Lock for me.

As a Foley artist, your job is to create Foley to my sound design. I cue it, you record it, and I edit it. Since I use REAPER, it's preferable to work in that said DAW because it's easier to work in the same DAW.

EDIT: Since I'm planning to switch DAWs soon, you might wanna get AATranslator if you still use Reaper. However, it would be more preferable to have Pro Tools because like I said, it's easier to collaborate in the same DAW.

Here's where you apply to be a writer. Send in a script of yours. The target audience for the reboot is for all ages. Think TV-G or a TV-Y7.

Here's where you apply to be a storyboard artist. A storyboard artist takes the script and the radio play and visualises it. Since the reboot combines western techniques with anime techniques, you can add some anime expressions and so on with Ami and Yumi. Try to stay on model. The characters from the original should be designed like the original's (For Ami and Yumi, I prefer Ami and Yumi in these designs: https://images.app.goo.gl/UDqNF353SDq22SSz7 https://images.app.goo.gl/5k65cH4u9Pv6AVuu5  and the reboot exclusive characters to my style. You don't wanna go overboard with the expressions like what they do in Ren and Stimpy. However, you can use anime expressions for the anime inspired  characters like Ami and Yumi. Here's where you apply to be a background artist. A background artist takes the layout from the layout artist and makes the backgrounds, close ups, background layers for multi planes, and more. The background style I'm going for is a mix of SpongeBob, Club Penguin, and Anime. To apply, make a background using reference from any place, like Sam's Club, McDonald's, and etc.

Here's where you apply to be a Layout Artist. A layout artist takes the storyboards from the storyboard artist and makes the keys of the animation. See the storyboard artist role for more information about the art style of the reboot.

Here's where you apply as a sheet timer. A sheet timer takes the animatic from the editor and plans the timing for the animation on a time sheet. A time sheet is a table on where you take notes on the timing. I recommend these tutorials if you don't know how to use a time sheet.

Here's where you apply to be an animator for the reboot. The animators take the layout and time sheet from the layout artist and sheet timer to make the characters come to life. Please note that that the reboot has a cartoony/anime style to it. In short, try to animate the anime animated characters (Like Ami, Yumi, Julie, and James)'s mouths (except Kaz) with the Japanese method of lip synching where it's flapping. Another thing to keep in mind, don't worry about compositing the shot yourself as the editor will handle that in post. Also, you can use any program, but Toon Boom or OpenToonz is recommended. I'll even animate some scenes myself?

The style of animation in this reboot is hand drawn animation.

Here's where you audition for a clean up and color artist. The clean up and color artist cleans up the animation sketches from the animators. Please note that I really like thin outlines and vibrant colors. Also, I like the outlines nice and neat.

Here's where you apply to be an effects animator. An effects animator takes the cleaned up animation from the clean up and color artist and the time sheet/exposure sheet from the sheet timer to animate the adlibbed effects (whether they're cycled or not). It can be like fire, smoke, debris, dust clouds, steam, splashes, and etc.

Here's where you apply to be a scene planner. A scene planner makes the 3D Models and 3D animations if needed. Think of a rollercoaster ride, or an epic space battle. Maybe even the Planet Express rocket from Futurama for example.

You can use any 3D Animation program, but Blender3D is recommended.

Here's where you apply to be a storyboard revisionist. A storyboard revisionist makes some adjustments if the director calls for it.

Here's where you can apply as an animation revisionist. An animation revisionist gives the composited shots from the editor a check up. They work with the director to see if there's an error in the animation. 

This is where you apply for an artist who does 3D Modeling and Rigging, but only for select episodes that are CGI instead of the usual Hand Drawn animation. They take the designs and make a 3D Model of the scene, characters, and props, and make rigs of the characters and sometimes props. I would go for something Pixar quality as possible. You can use any program, but Blender3D is recommended.

This is where you apply to be a 3D Animator. Again, this is only for select episodes where it's CGI instead of Hand drawn. They take the 3D Models and Storyboards and build the world of the scene and make it come to life. You don't have to worry about texturing, lighting, 3D effects animation, or rendering the animation, because I can handle it easily since it's probably the best I can do for 3D animation. For the 3D animation, I would go for something like Nitrogen Studios where it's cartoony. Think Point Grey Pictures's Sausage Party or the CGI Thomas the Tank Engine. Again, you can use any program, but I recommend Blender3D

Here's where you apply to be a videographer. A videographer directs and films the live action parts (not counting stock footage). They also do some occasional photography (not counting famous paintings, pictures of cities, or celebrity pictures.) I recommend using a good camera, with good quality boom mics (Zoom Recorders are recommended, good lighting, and some good editing software. As videographer, you're also responsible for having locals in your area if they're interested to join in. Weather it be acting or plush making or something.

This is where you apply to be a Matte Painter for the 3D animated episodes. A matte painter creates the sky line of the 3D world. Whether it be clouds, the sky, stars, the moon, the sun, this artist will get the jist of it. You can use any program for the art program, but the 3D program recommended to import it is Blender3D.

Here's where you apply to be a Previs animator for the 3D animated episodes. They take the storyboard and turn it in the 3rd dimension for the rough layout. They also do the rough idea of the camera movement. You can use any program, but I recommend Blender3D. When all the layouts are finalized, I would delete the rough 3D Models, and replace them with the final models from the 3D Modeler/Rigger for the final layout.

Here's where you apply to be a 3D Crowd animator. Sometimes one animator isn't enough for the crowds, so they would be handed by crowd animators. They would use patented, automated animation tools for when the background characters are walking, talking, buying a hot dog, and etc.

You can use any program for the automated animation, but Blender3D is my recommendation for implementing it.
