No casting on this site? Well it happens. Many of you didn't fully act the part of Elise, your recordings lacked any real spark to them.
Remember - The overall acting is more important than the voice.
Fire Emblem Fates Royalty Critical Hits Fan Dub
Project Overview
This project will never be approved cause there's NO WAY I'm showing my fan work from 5,6,7,8 years ago!
Buuuut this isn't MY project! Yep, I'm casting on behalf of one of my good VA buddies!
We'll both be deciding the cast, but as I'm a professional in this industry (the acting injustry) we'll be looking at a few things in particular;
- 1. You're acting! - Are you just reading the lines? That's a big NO NO! Make sure to put feeling into your lines, shout, scream (well just don't peak) but really give it you're all! These lines will most likely be your final lines for the project!
- 2. Quality - Some background noise is A-OK! Some echo is A-OK! Popping, unclear audio is also a NO NO! Try to record in the best location possible, with at least a Blue Snowball, oh, put a pillow case over the mic too in order to avoid too many echoes...it apparently works?
- 3. The Voice - So obviously, your voice needs to fit the character. A brief pitch description and English VA clip is below. But PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, GIVE US YOUR OWN TAKE! There's nothing more boring than watching a fandub full of people who sound EXACTLY like the English VA's. That's not a fandub, that's an impressions video. So PLEASE EXPERIMENT!
This is a one off project, the only lines you will be sent are potential redos.
