  •  There were times, believe it or not, when the Star Tugs and Zed Stacks took on a big job together. One of those times I remember was when timber and tanning bark had to be brought down from the sawmills up river. And this year, it was especially important that we work together. (pause for a moment before doing this line) But Zug was making heavy going towing a old hulk on it's last journey.

  • An alligator tug called Billy Shoepack worked up river, delivery essentials like gasoline, ropes, fuses and dynamite from Mittsvile to the logging camps. Why an alligator tug? Well, as you can see he's just as low in the water. (chuckles) And in his case, just as dangerous.

  • (chuckles) The only thing that Zorran succeeded in doing that day, was trapping himself instead The Star Tugs.

  • Even as the tugs waited for the Dispatcher to begin the morning work meeting, there was a feeling in the air, that this day was going to be special. Still, the tugs were surprised the Dispatcher told them they would all be needed, for on ship. George The Valiant was certain that there must be some mistake.

  • The tugboats lined up neatly at the harbour's mouth and waited impatiently for the big ship. Suddenly.......there she was : The Queen Stephanie, appearing out of a fog bank like some huge floating city. Well, she was the largest, most beautiful ship Theodore had ever seen. I mean, even Emily and George, who'd been to sea many times and seen all kinds of wonderful ships, stared in amazement. Pearl The Pilot Boat, was in charge of the tow.

  • Later  that afternoon, the tugs were guiding The Queen to another dock. George and the others were at the back. And sure enough, Pearl did have another job for Theodore, a very special job : Theodore was given the place of honor, pulling from the front,  for Theodore had proved that the small, can be just as important as the big.

This parts here have some opening narrator refrences from the Thomas and Friends episode Thomas Gets Tricked/Thomas and Gordon, TUGS Episode Sunshine, and Theodore Tugboat episode Theodore and The Big Harbour. This role has been casted to : MewMewKitten

  • Thomas is a tank engine, who lives at a big station, on The Island Of Sodor. He's a cheeky engine with six small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, a short stumpy boiler and a short stumpy dome. He's a fussy little engine too, always pulling coaches about ready for the big engines to take on long journey. And when trains come in, he pulls the empty coaches away so that the big engines could go and rest. Thomas thinks no engine works as hard as he does. He loves playing tricks on them, including Gordon, the biggest and proudest engine of all. Thomas likes teasing  Gordon with his whistle.

  • The 1920s. Bigg City Port was the biggest harbour in the world. It was a time of change and great opportunity. Nobody knew it better than the hard working tugs, who's strength and big hearts made them popular with everybody from tramp steamers to ocean liners. Important jobs in the port often kept them working night and day. My tugs, The Starfleet, were no exception. I had three harbor tugs : O.J., a paddle steamer, Warrior and Big Mac. A railway tug, Top Hat. One little switcher, (chuckle) Ten Cents. And Hercules, my ocean going tug. They were a good crew, striving to be the best in the port, not always succeeding but proud of their work. I remember the day we got our first big break. It started like most......at dawn.

  • Theodore was promising young tug from a small harbor up the coast when he first putted into port : bright eyed and bushy bumpered.  Everything was new and exciting to the little tug. The Big Harbour was so.....well....big......and noisy. Theodore knew everybody would be waiting for him to get to work, so he hurried along to The Ocean Tug and Salvage Company, where he had been told to meet The Dispatcher. The Dispatcher was the one who gave the tugs their jobs.
