Escape From Dusty Plain-Visual Novel-Casting Call #2 ADULT FEMALE VOICE NEEDED!

Project Overview

Amelia is a worker at Dusty Plain. Every year, Queen Rei goes to a village, and steals all the children; when she has them, she enslaves, starves, and beats them. Night after night, Amelia and her friends try to escape to find their families, but to no avail, until the day they meet a night guard who is actually kind to the kids. He decides to help them escape and maybe even defeat the tyrant Queen!

Please know that I am not a professional programmer, but I will try to make this piece all that it should be. Also know that this project will take a LONG time to make, as Tyrano Builder isn't easy, and I'm aiming for perfection! If you do not get picked, let me assure you that new characters will be added to this all time! Thank you for auditioning. Please make sure you have a good microphone, and use a pop filter if necessary. Audition lines not final. Feel free to think outside of the box and have a good time!

These roles are smaller than the main cast, but not tiny! One of them is the main villain! All these characters will have many lines, but show up late in the game. Michelle, Joel, Wednesday, and Trinity won't show up until the final scene.

    So, it's been awhile, Queen Rei is now cast to someone off site, and I'm still looking for Wednesday and Oliver. So, the casting call is returning! I'm sorry you've had to wait so long, but I've been heavily considering all the auditions and I honestly couldn't pick. So, this is so some new people can give these characters a go, and so you can try again if you want!

Wednesday is Daisuke and Trinity's older sister. She's a smart Alek, but puts up with Trinity's jokes anyway.

Line 1: Meeting Daisuke after Trinity's second line.

Line 2: Assuring Daisuke about their parents' death.

  • Hello there! My name is- *pause* Daisuke?!

  • Don't feel guilty Daisuke. You're home! You should be happy! Forget about Mom and Dad. At least you still have us! And you always will.

  • So you brought my brother home? Well, than thank you SO much! This little guy really means the world to me.

Voice: Medium Tone

Appearance: Dark skin, black hair, purple eyes, and wears a light blue turtleneck.

Oliver shows up pretty late in the game, when Queen Rei goes out for a new batch of workers. He finds and befriends Amelia. Oliver is kind of a mama's boy, and is shy at first, but is actually very kind and innocent. (but he will get very pissed if called "Ollie") SPOILERS! He doesn't survive to whole game.

Line 1: Finally explains to Amelia why he doesn't like to be called Ollie. He's very upset, and maybe on the brink of tears. There should also be a bit of anger in there.

Line 2: Assuring his friends that he's accepted his death. (He's going to be killed the next day.)

Line 3: When he finally snaps after the working conditions, and punches a guard. (This is his death sentence) be VERY angry.

  • Because back home, my mother was the ONLY person who ever called me Ollie. I miss her so much...I don't know what to do!

  • Maybe it's better this way. I never was much of a help to you guys. To be honest, I'm okay with it. I was probably going to starve or something anyway. But...thank you...for being my friends.

  • NO! I'm not doing this anymore! You can't tell me what to do! I won't touch a single a brick. Hit me all you want, no matter what, I won't listen. SO SHUT UP!

Appearance: Light skin, light brown hair, light green eyes, and a light blue shirt.

Michelle is Amelia and Nate's real mother. She's very sweet and caring, kind of like Toriel from Undertale.

Line 1: Finally sees Amelia and Nate after so many years.

Line 2: Finally gains her composure after seeing her children.

Line 3: Referring to Daisuke about his family. His parents are dead, and she doesn't want to out right say it.

  • No...it can't be...oh my god! I don't believe this! I...I thought I lost you! Oh my goodness...

  • I hope you understand that we looked everywhere for you. For weeks! But...now you're home. My babies are finally home.

  • Oh! You're Yuka's boy aren't you? I...she's...moved away I'm afraid. You're sisters are still here though! Their somewhere around the market.

Voice: Low Tone

Appearance: Light skin, blonde hair, red eyes, and wears a crown with a red and black dress. (might have a cigarette)

Main villain! Rei's voice should be smooth and calm. She's cruel, and she knows it. She loves power, and loves watching others suffer.

Line 1: First meeting Amelia.

Line 2: Amelia snapped at her. She tries to keep calm, but you can hear the anger.

Line 3: Full on anger, she decides to have Amelia killed.

  • Ah, number 100. I finally get to meet you! You've been a thorn in my side for a while you know. Well? Aren't you going to kneel?

  • Watch what you say girl. You know that I can have you killed.

  • ENOUGH! You will end this insolence right now! *pause* No? Very well. Guards! Lock her and her friends in her dorm. They shall be killed TONIGHT! That guard Daisuke as well. I want him in the dungeon! And Amelia, know that this is all your fault!

Trinity is Daisuke's older sister, and Wednesday's younger sister. She's a bookworm and was Daisuke's best friend when they were little.

Line 1: Bumps into Daisuke and drops her books

Line 2: Show Wednesday that she found Daisuke. (this is a joke and should have a kind of sing song tone)

Line 3: Tells Daisuke that their parents are dead.

  • Oh! I'm so sorry, I'm such a klutz!

  • Oh Wednesday! I made a new friend! I'd like you to meet him. Here he is!

  • Oh...Mom and Dad...their gone. They died looking for you actually.

Joel is Amelia and Nate's father. He's very kind, and maybe a bit of a hippie.

Line 1: Doesn't realize who Amelia and Nate are right away, when Michelle does. He does notice eventually though.

Line 2: Questioning the children about where they've been.

Line 3: Trying to joke around with Nate. (dad humor)

  • Huh? Michelle, what are you talking about? *pause* Oh... *starts tearing up* It's my baby girl! You're back!

  • Where were you all this time? Could you remember us? I would've gotten you in a heartbeat if I had known where you were.

  • Hey where'd this cut come from? Did you beat up some bad guys?
