EPIC: The Musical – A Minecraft Stage Production
EPIC: The Musical – A Minecraft Stage Production is a fan-made theatrical adaptation that reimagines Jorge Rivera-Herrans' musical as if it were performed on a live stage (inside Minecraft).
Rather than recreating the story through animation or roleplay, this production embraces the language of theater. A permanent stage serves as the foundation for every saga, transforming through lighting, modular scenery, choreography, and performance instead of large-scale world changes. This project was very much inspired by Schpood’s HAMILTON: A Minecraft Musical Project.
Every performance is recorded live with a full cast before being cinematically edited using Flashback, allowing the final production to blend the authenticity of live theater with the visual storytelling of film.
This project values collaboration and teamwork above all else. Builders, performers, technical crew, costume artists, and production staff work together as a single group, where every member contributes both on and off stage.
Our goal is not to recreate EPIC exactly as it exists animated wise, but to explore what it could become if it premiered as a stage musical. See the document tabs to explore in more detail.

FAQ
Is this an RP or MCTV thing?
This is NOT a roleplay server, this is a scripted virtual theatre production. This is completely different from my normal content (on FluffwaveFilms)
How many performances will there be? Is this live?
Every Actor performs live. There will be multiple rehearsals, and three live performances. Dress Rehearsal, Private Screening, Live Screening. Ideally a rehearsal once or twice a week. Depending on availability.
How do you change the sets?
Every set change happens in real time. The ensemble will be responsible and taught how to build and remove set pieces.
Am I going to be recorded?
Rehearsals are not recorded unless otherwise specified. Every actor is recorded, filmed within the replay/discord, and is later uploaded onto the director’s channel. You will be credited by your username or a link. Voices will be pre-recorded on your own time.
Is this project paid?
Currently no, but if the project makes revenue it will be discussed.
Are you doing the entire musical?
yes! In the beginning, we will do one song (The horse and the infant) to see how well the cast and current operations mixes. If all goes well we will move forward with act 1.
What's the timeline for this project?
As soon as we're able to get a rough building and technical team created we will get started with designing sets, builds, and pre-show technicalities. Performers deadline will be longer as we need time to prep. I estimate that this project will take anywhere between 5-8 months, depending on how efficient and consistent we are with rehearsals.

Artist
Takes on assignments from Lead Builder according to specialty. Show examples of big and small builds. (Vanilla preferred, open to modded options)
Builders will get assignments from the Lead Builder and have deadlines set by them. Please provide any sort of examples of your builds / experience to give us an idea of what you can do!
