EPHEMERA: KOREAN BOY GROUP // FEMALE AND MALE ACTORS NEEDED!!
Project Overview
Hello, and welcome to Papercup Entertainment!

Ephemera is a Korean boy group, who's original members are all talented idols originating from different entertainment companies. The group is scheduled to debut after a year of promotions. While the boys are all interesting and have their own backgrounds, their story truly begins after debut. They will face drama within their company. They will face the pressures of competition and a fanbase. They will have good times and bad times. And to top it off, their contract will be terminated soon.
We are looking for people to portray their story!
What we are looking for are voice actors who can create a believable interpretation of their personalities. If you can sing or rap then that would be great! It's not required, but voice actors who can sing/rap will be considered first, because we plan to make songs for this group. There will be four group songs and each member gets a solo song. This won't come until later in the series, so don't worry about it now!
You don't have to be Korean to audition.
We are still putting the details of this project together, and the actual deadline for auditions won't be until probably December, probably even later. So if you are looking for a quick project that is 100% ready to go-- I'm sorry to say that this isn't it. But it will be fun!
We may use email and/or Google Hangouts (possibly other platforms, we are open minded) as communication between the writers and actors. Kakao Talk may come in handy for group chats. This isn't decided yet, so we will let you know!
This will be a pretty laid-back project. While everyone should work to a deadline to be sure we are all on the same page, we understand that people have lives and other things to do. We just ask that your are somewhat flexible in your time and are willing to stick with us long term. There may be a time where we are corresponding every day and then a month long hiatus will hit. You never know what'll go down, so please be prepared!
Please be patient with us, as we are limited on technology, and once school begins we might be limited on time. We are still deciding whether this will be an audio book, animation, visual novel, etc. If you are casted, it might be a moment before we actually contact you. Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress. Characters and plot are subject to change. Again, don't worry- we will work hard to make this great!
Last, but most important- have fun!
This isn't a professional production. We are high school kids and we don't have the money to pay anyone, so we are asking for enthusiastic volunteers who will be as invested in this story as we are. We know how difficult it is to find male voice actors for these kind of things, especially ones that will sing or rap.
That is why we are beginning auditions so early. We want to get our name out there so that people will be on board by the time we are ready to publish.

Jinho is the leader of Ephemera and a lead vocal. He is apart of the hyung line, dance line, and vocal line.
He is Korean and the oldest member at 22 years old. He is the shortest member (170 cm).
Jinho's name means "golden hero" or "leader" and he definitely lives up to it. He is the motherly figure of the group and is like a brother to everyone. He is very reliable and the person to go to if you have any type of issue. He is a good shoulder to cry on, and at the same time he isn't afraid to put you in your place. He is known for his heart-shaped smile.

Jongdae is a main vocal in the group. He is apart of the hyung line and the vocal line.
He is Korean, and the second oldest at 21 years old. He is 173 cm tall.
Jongdae comes off as a bit of an asshat at first. This is because he is the most upset about the seventh member joining.
He directs this rudeness mostly towards Javier, but it is noticeable by others. He is a bit judgemental, and this shows as well. He doesn't have much of a filter, and will say whatever he is thinking without hesitation. He isn't a bad person. In fact, he is rather nice. Well, to everyone but Javier. He is a winker, and does the most fan service. The fans don't know he can be obnoxious behind the scenes. To them, he is the charismatic oppa everyone wants to hug at fan meets.

Junmyeon is the visuals of the group. He is a main vocal. He is apart of the hyung line and the vocal line.
He is Korean and 20 years old. He is the tallest member at 183 cm.
Junmyeon is an actual ray of sunshine. It's almost impossible to be in a bad mood with him around. He does his best to keep others happy, and is a complete sweetheart. He is the first to turn a negative situation around. He struggles a bit with dancing, but he is learning and getting better. He makes up for it with amazing power vocals. His hidden talent is the ability to imitate people's singing voices.

Hyunki is the main rapper in the group. He is apart of the maknae line and the rap line.
He is Korean and has recently turned 19. He is 173 cm tall.
Hyunki is probably the most laid-back person in the group. He's so chill, people call him lazy, but that's not the case. He doesn't like stress, and will always find a way to make things easier. He's kinda like the class clown, always making jokes. He always has people laughing, even when it seems an inappropriate time to do so. Much like Junmyeon and Jinho, but in his own way, he comforts others when they are down. He ends up being the closest to Javier. He is known for his adorable eye smile.

Hyeonsu is the dancer of the group. He is a lead rapper. He's apart of the maknae line, dance line, and rap line.
He is Chinese, and 19 years old. He is 178 cm tall.
Hyeonsu is a pretty hard worker. He is the one who is still up working on choreo and music while the other members are sleeping. He tends to throw himself into his work so much that the other members have to remind him to eat and get rest. He is friendly and well-meaning, He has a heart to heart with Javier one night while he is up working on their next comeback. He can relate to Javier's insecurities since he is also a foreigner in a Korean group. He is a bboy, a talent which he often shows off in variety shows.

Haneul is the maknae of the group. He is 17, turning 18 soon.
He is a sub-vocal. He is apart of the maknae line, dance line, and vocal line.
He starts off the shortest member at 168 cm and eventually becomes the tallest, at 185 cm. This also represents the eventual change in his personality and how his members view him.
Haneul's name means "sky" or "heaven" and it definitely fits. He's a little squish. A completely innocent kid who can be a bit clueless at times. He is childish and naive, but this only adds to his charm. He is a huge eater, and is not picky at all. He will accept any food given to him and then some. Anytime you check in on him, he'll probably be eating. He's also alarmingly good at girl group dances. He has just graduated from high school right before their debut. His members love him, and treat him like the baby of the group- which he is. When he grows taller and more mature, he starts to intimidate the other members. Think evil maknae vibes.

Javier is the seventh member that the other six don't know about at first. He joins the group through a survival show.
He is a versatile member, able to sing when needed or rap when needed. He is apart of the maknae line and the rap line.
He is Argentinian and 18 years old. He is 175 cm tall.
Javier is a hopeful teen. He signs up for Papercup Entertainment's survival show as soon as he sees the ad. He is chosen as one of the five trainees to compete for the seventh member position in Ephemera. He is excited to debut with the group during their first comeback. This excitement starts to dissipate a little when the group finds out about him, and their reaction is not so positive. Now he is a bit shy and insecure, but he still tries to be helpful and fit in with the group. He even uses his talent for beat boxing to lead jam sessions and is a bright personality during their reality shows. He faces a bit of discrimination for his non-Asian appearance. Like Hyeonsu, he has to learn Korean, which adds to his insecurity around the other members. Even with this, there is still a spark of hope that this was the right path for him.
