Doki Doki Literature Club Podcast

Doki Doki Literature Club Podcast

Project Overview

For this podcast, we will obviously be discussing various things about the Doki Doki Literature Club game, which will be listed below. It may be helpful to already begin planning what you could potentially add to the conversation before attempting to participate.

  1. 1. How did you first discover DDLC?

  2. 2. What was your first impression upon seeing it?

  3. 3. Who are your favorite and least favorite characters and why?

  4. 4. Did your opinion on the characters change as time went on? If so, describe why and how.

  5. 5. What are your opinions on each Act of the game?

  6. 6. What is your favorite soundtrack in the game?

  7. 7. Which part of the game scared/unnerved you the most?

  8. 8. Which character death affected you the most?

  9. 9. What are your opinions on the potential future game?

For these questions, the list could always be expanded in time. These are just the most basic questions I could think of that could potentially create some decent discussion.

I only want 1 or 2 people for this podcast since I already have a few others involved. If I gain more auditions than I need, the people who are picked won’t be on a first come first serve basis. I’ll instead choose who I believe would be the best addition to the podcast.

When the podcast has been recorded and edited, it will be uploaded to YouTube.

Before you audition, here are some things to keep in mind.

  • You MUST have a Discord, as the podcast will be recorded in a group conversation.

  • You must have enough free time for the podcast. If you’re aware that you’re going to be busy, please don’t audition and make the process slower than it needs to be.

  • Don’t be an asshole. I have a low tolerance for those who wish to insult or antagonize the others involved in this project, and I will remove you without any hesitation. Differing opinions will most likely be a common occurrence, but that does not validate you attacking those who may not share the same views as you.

  • This may seem obvious, but just to be safe, I want to clarify that you shouldn’t audition for this project if you’re not at the very least fairly knowledgeable about the DDLC series. You’ll be kicked out if it’s obvious to me that you know very little about the game.

  • I recommend auditioning only if you’re confident in your abilities to keep conversations going. You don’t have to be incredibly talkative (though that would be a bonus), as I myself can sometimes be rather quiet, but at the very least you should be able to defend and explain your points in a clear way that everyone can understand.

  • Don’t talk over other people. It occasionally happening is understandable, and I’ll let it slide if it’s simply accidental and isn’t too frequent, but I will call you out if you actively cut others off.

  • Stay on topic. Again, occasionally rambling is fine, but if I have to I will force the conversation to get back on track.

  • As for microphones, your voice doesn’t have to be of the best quality, as my own isn’t the best, but it shouldn’t be god-awful either. While a clear microphone is appreciated, the occasional background noise or echo is acceptable. However, if it becomes distracting I may ask you to activate push-to-talk or to just leave the call entirely. Before we start, please make sure that the area you’re in is as quiet as possible. It’ll make things a lot more easier and convenient for all of us.

  • And lastly, please don’t audition if you are under the age of 15. Nothing against those who may be younger, but I want to be assured that this podcast will include mature individuals and not potential children.

With all of that being said, if this project interests you, please feel free to audition. I hope that we can all have a great time, regardless of whether or not this project is successful.

This is where you'll be submitting your auditions to be involved in the podcast. Be as descriptive as you see fit (within reason) for each of the sections below.

PLEASE DON'T ANSWER THE QUESTIONS IN THE ABOVE DESCRIPTION IN YOUR AUDITION, AS YOU WILL BE ANSWERING THEM IN THE PODCAST.

  • Explain the basics, such as how old you are, your timezone, availability, etc.

  • Include any other information you would like me to know. The more you talk, the higher of a chance you may have to be chosen. That doesn't mean to ramble on about nonsense, however.

  • This is entirely optional, but if you have any ideas for any potential subjects related to the game we could discuss, feel free to share them. Just keep in mind that there's no guarantee that your suggestion will be added to the list.
