About Doki Doki Literature Club! Fandub (MC NEEDED)

Hello, everyone~!

No, it's not just a coincidence that I'm uploading this on Valentine's Day. After all, what better way to celebrate the month of romance than to announce a fandub of one of the most terrifying and emotionally-scarring visual novels I've ever seen? :D

In all seriousness, though, Doki Doki Literature Club is perhaps the greatest game I have come across in quite some time. I haven't played it myself (I'm not much of an online gamer), but watching various Let's Plays on Youtube has allowed me to really explore the story and its amazing characters. At first, I thought all the hype was based on the simple (and admittedly clever) fact that this seemingly innocent dating simulator unexpectedly turns into a psychological thriller about halfway through...but after watching it multiple times, I now see that its story is far more intellectually and emotionally deep than I gave it credit for. The characters are what really transform this game, though, so I thought: why not bring them to life through the power of voice-acting?

For those who are unfamiliar, here's a brief synopsis: in Doki Doki Literature Club, you play a generic high school boy who is pressured by his best friend Sayori into joining the Literature Club, a relatively new club on campus that only has a handful of members. To the main character's testosterone-fueled delight, the club contains three other beautiful girls: Natsuki, Yuri, and Monika. The initial premise is harmless enough: throughout the week, you're supposed to write poems that appeal to whatever girl you're trying to seduce, as well as spend time with them inside and outside of school. However, as time progresses, it becomes clear that things are a bit off, and following an unexpectedly horrific incident, the game, as well as the characters in it, begins to go haywire.

The standard rules apply to this casting call:

1. Please submit clear, good-quality recordings with minimal background noise.

2. Be civil to other people who are auditioning.

3. Only audition if you're confident that you can commit to this project if you are cast.

4. If you don't receive a notice from CCC that you were cast, check back after the deadline to see if you were cast as an understudy.

5. You MUST be willing to swear, especially if you want to play Natsuki.

6. Have a great time! I look forward to hearing your auditions! ^^
