Doctor Who Audio Drama - A Fun Group Activity For Writers!
Project Overview
Hello! As a writer, I have slowly began to get involved in more and more series and done more and more script writing. At first I would write alone, but as I got cast for more projects, I would have to work alongside others to create the projects. I realised how enjoyable it was to work with other writers. So, a year back, I thought of introducing a series that'll run along side my main series on my channel; *another* doctor who series, revolving all around our own version of the 13th doctor (dont worry, I'll get this work in the "lore" of the show, I have a plan!). I started planning this series, but then realised it may be more fun to work together with writers to collectively make the series from the ground up. The fact that its doctor who allows writers to practically write anything they want!
In terms of the series, it shall consist of 13 episodes each being 1 hour long (or 45 minutes - 1 hour and 15 minutes long), it shall be non-narrated and each story shall be connected with an over-arching series story (although we can have standalone episodes sprinkled in there as well).
This project is meant to be a fun side-project for writers, of course, I would like some professionality, so there will be many meetings, the first of which to get ourselves acquainted with one another, then another to discuss characterisation, series story etc, at that point, all writers will have picked the episode number they would like, and they would start by sending a synopsis of their episode idea to the rest of the group, these synopsis will then be discussed in a meeting to expand upon the ideas. The premise of which is for all writers involved to basically help each other along! (remember this is not only fun, but a learning experience for everyone!). In terms of meetings, everyone will discuss in messages when the best time for a meeting should be, and everyone shall be informed of the meetings date and time 48 hours before the meeting takes place.
I will take care of all the production, so everyone just needs to take care of the writing and nothing more! Of course, if you want to be more involved (as I understand you want your stories to be produced in the way you imagine them), then you can always direct everything around how your specific episode(s) is produced and do even more! This isn't only my series but also everyone who takes part!
As well as this, I may even ask you to take part in writing an episode for future series I produce!
To Summarise:
This is an audio series (consisting of 13 episodes, each being 1 hour-long non-narrated audio episodes) revolving around our version of the 13th doctor, that every writer will work together to create the series from the ground up, helping each other along the way and having a generally fun time!
You need to have discord, have 2+ years of writing experience (any form of writing experience) and be prepared to be involved in any meeting that takes place (remember fun but professional!).
I hope to see you there as its going to be a blast!
James.

As talked about before, this is just meant to be a fun activity, no profits shall be gained, and everyone who takes part will be involved in voice meetings through discord to discuss how the series will go. You will be working with other writers (including me!) to produce an Audio Series of Doctor Who: The Characters, The Series Arch, The Individual Stories etc. And due to it being doctor who, you have the entirety of time and space to write about! Full freedom to do whatever you want!
I want people from a range of differing backgrounds, to have the stories vary, you need to be able to make it to all meetings held and you need to have writing experience of 2+ years (this can be 2 years of Prose writing, Audio Drama (narrated and non-narrated) writing, screen writing etc), you also need to apply to this casting opportunity with a document containing a piece of writing work of high quality or a document containing links to multiple pieces of work. Although this is meant to be fun, I want the end product to be something everyone pours their heart into and is of high quality.
Requirements:
- 16+ y/o
- 2+ years of any form of writing experience
- Proof of experience (link some writing you have done in the past or many pieces of work!)
