Death Note(Manga Dub)
Project Overview
The aim of this project is to re-create the entirety of the Death Note manga but into an audio visual novel. Obviously a project this big will take a while to produce, and will be released in an episodic format, each episode conspiring of one to multiple chapters each. We’re looking for general voice actors to take on the many roles comprised in the project. Other roles may be needed later in the project such as audio manipulation editor, or visual effects editor, but as of now the only roles needed filling are that of the characters. Voice actors (especially that filling larger roles) will be acquired to fit many situations with their voices, such as laughing, crying, and screaming. All auditions will be reviewed. He is a bored Shinigami that drops a Death Note, a notebook that allows you to kill anyone simply by knowing their name and face, into the human world in order to have fun.
(Ryuk has a scratchy voice, he’s fairly playful sounding but in a sinister sort of way)
"If you don't want it then give it to someone else. Though if that happens, I will erase your memories concerning the Death Note."

Is the world's greatest detective. He takes on the task of tracking down and arresting Kira. His disheveled appearance and odd behavior belie his genius. He lives in solitude, and only his manager Watari is able to contact him directly. L suspects that Light is Kira almost from the beginning, but cannot confirm his suspicions.
(He has a somewhat airy voice like Light, but his voice sounds a bit lazy and matter of fact)
"Greetings to everyone at the ICPO. This is "L""
"Unbelievable...... I did this on the off-chance that you would kill "me". So, Kira, you can kill people without even being nearby."
"I will hunt you down and destroy you!!
I am justice!!!!"
A bored young genius who is dissatisfied with the Japanese justice system. When he finds the Death Note, he uses it to kill criminals in large numbers. His goal is to create a "pure world" without evil, which he intends to rule over as "the god of the new world". Kira is quickly popularized, as people start to deify the source of this tide of judgment.
(He has an airy voice, he sounds too good for the people around him in his head, but his outward speech is somewhat more generic highschooler. Must be able to pull of an insane laugh)
"Haha! The human whose name is written in this notebook shall die. [Jokingly]"

A popular Japanese idol. She has an extremely cheerful, upbeat manner. She is devoted to Light, who does not return her affections; instead, he manipulates and uses her. As a Death Note owner and the second Kira, she has the Shinigami Eyes, which allow her to view anyone's name and lifespan on sight.(She has a slightly more loving voice [but more of an obsessive way] she has a very preppy kind of bubbly voice. Must be able to scream and cry)
"Let's go eat a romantic dinner or something, I'm so excited for our future."
"I....can't take it anymore..KILL ME."
"How can you do this?! You can kill your own son?!"
Grew up in competition with Near to succeed L. After L's death, however, he concedes the position to Near and leaves to hunt Kira through criminal means, eventually joining the American Mafia. He wants to become Number 1 outdoing Near at any cost. He is obsessed with being the best.(Mello has a begrudging and cocky voice, he thinks he’s better than his peers and that he deserves more.)
"If Kira used this notebook, I wonder if he knows this rule is fake"
"Our next target is the daughter of Souichirou Yagami, Sayu Yagami."
"Do you mean he was killed by Kira?! Is that it?!"
Is the young detective who succeeds L by default. He is the head of an organization created to catch Kira, the SPK. A placid character with a sharp tongue. He constantly plays with toys, building towers of dice and playing cards, and illustrating his exposition with small finger puppets and Lego minifigs.(Near is very young and sounds as such, but he has a very intellectual voice. Very confident, like a younger L)
"We’ll be taking care of both Kira and the kidnappers by ourselves."
"Yagami Light….Kira...I have no intention of killing you."
"We’ve got our hand on the note and replace the pages."
A police officer that initially leads the Kira investigation team that later joins with L. (Soichiro has a very deep and authoritative but caring voice)
"Ryuuzaki, I’ll bring this up to my superiors immediately"
"Light’s helped me on cases before."
"I'm sorry to both of you but I have to do this." (About to shoot Light and Misa)
