Kent is a necromancer who has been alive for over five centuries, but continues to live the way he did long ago, reviving the dead and receiving pay from those who will seek him out. However with the invention of a death cure, an antidote for all mortal coils, his business goes bust and he struggles to make ends meet.

Everyone thinks about trying necromancy at least once.
The Filmmaker is a documentarian who has come across Kent, a struggling necromancer in the new age of medically-created immortality. The film is his, and he records Kent's actions and asks questions throughout.
