Project Overview

Just a comic dub for #1 of the new Daredevil comics.


1. Have good mic quality(no pop, static, noise in the background, etc).

2. Impressions are great, but try and make the character your own.

3. Read up on the character, watch a few clips, and try to embody that character.

4. Double check your audition. If there is no life in your voice and it sounds like you're just reading cardboard then don't submit it just yet.

Daredevil's origin story relates that while living in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York City, Matt Murdock is blinded by a radioactive substance that falls from an oncoming vehicle while pushing a man to safety from the oncoming truck. While he no longer can see, the radioactive exposure heightens his remaining senses beyond normal human ability and gives him a "radar sense". His father, a boxer named Jack Murdock, supports him as he grows up, though Jack is later killed by gangsters after refusing to throw a fight. After donning a yellow and dark red costume (later all dark red), Matt seeks out revenge against his father's killers as the superhero Daredevil, fighting against his many enemies, including Bullseye and Kingpin. He also becomes a lawyer. Daredevil's nickname is "the Man Without Fear".

    Daredevil:

    (jumping over the rooftop of cars)

    Unless this girl is the secret heir to a lost kingdom, which she's not, I couldn't tell you!

    I tried to cheat the reorientation process by setting up an earpiece comm-link with my let's say "friend" Kirsten McDuffie... but it leaves me deaf in one ear and dammit I didn't hear his approach---!

Kirsten McDuffie was the assistant district attorney who had a playful relationship with Matt Murdock and frequently tried to make him admit to being Daredevil and refused to believe he wasn't.Over time, their friendly relationship developed into a romantic one and they dated. When Foggy Nelson underwent cancer treatment, Kirsten joined Nelson & Murdock to fill in for him. When Matt moved to San Francisco as a result of the voluntary and public revelation of his identity as Daredevil, Kirsten accompanied him on the trip. After arriving in San Francisco Kirsten and Matt set up their own law firm.
