Feel free to include additional contact information as a comment on your audition, especially if you are more likely to see a message elsewhere.
We only want good quality audio.

We are operating on a one month turn around. Please do not audition if you are not able to record monthly within the time frame of a month for this series. It is 5 episodes total for this story arc.
If you are selected, you have 2 days to reply to our offer message. We will only make 1 additional attempt to contact you before we move on, so please monitor your email address.
The role pay differs from episode to episode.
This casting call is both here and conducted in an email-in format.
What is this project, exactly?
This is going to become an audio fiction series like our series "Anthologies of Ullord." If you want an idea of what this will come to sound like, listening to a few episodes can give you a better idea.
We put new episodes up on various platforms including: Youtube (accessible only through the link), Soundcloud, iTunes Podcast, Google Podcasts, Stitcher and there is early release on our Patreon page.
Genre-wise, it is dark fantasy, medieval fantasy and high fantasy with some action/adventure and occasional horror and drama thrown in an episode.
Content expectations: The end product of this casting call will be PG13.
The entirety of this work for this portion of "Chronicles of Fhaerythe" is PG13. It is given this approximate rating because it contains:
- Violence (sound effects, effort lines and narration will be used to depict it)
- Dark themes (slavery, murder, piracy, fantasy world racism)
If any of this bothers you to be on your voice acting resume, kindly pass this casting call. Not all characters will deal with all of the above, but it is present in the work.

So, I wanted to post this before officially closing all roles. Sorry for the repeated updates with it. But, while there are voice actors auditioning for the project via email, the status of "closed, cast to offsite actor" is inaccurate. We just need it marked as closed so people don't randomly happen upon the project.
Eshai is Nikan’s younger sister. She grew up hearing the same stories as Nikan and also believes in magic and is hopeful for its return to the world. She is the most hot-headed of the group and is usually the first to react among the four sea-dwellers/main characters. She is assertive, smart and loyal to her friends. Like her brother she is charismatic, makes friends and allies easily and she loves the freedom of the sea-dwelling life.
Eshai requires an American accent to match her brother who is already voiced. His voice actor can be heard in the trailer.
We are open to any voice type for Eshai.
We can worry about everything else later. She may need her injuries treated, though.
Are you not worried about this unexplored area and what we may find here?
[groggy] No, he knows we wanted left here for a week.
This is not a character actor. For the narrator we are always looking for somebody with good cadence and enunciation. Additionally, being able to read long passages smoothly without breaking or long hesitation between soft returns or between stops/ending punctuation is a needed quality for the narrator.
For the narrator we do not place any specifics on accent or gender. We are open to all voice types with the above qualities.
The group shrinks into the distance; their conversation becomes indistinct as they move deeper into the jungle. Nikan reaches for a new vine to continue moving unseen through the trees.
The village elder begins a divination ritual. Shells, bones of dead animals, ashes and beads are tossed into a wooden bowl. When a strange pattern of soot comes from the bowl, the elder takes a step back.
Nikan and his companions prepare their campsite. They have dry wood from the forest floor and they have the means to catch and cook fish. With a campfire sufficiently away from the water they are able to comfortably rest.
Malia is Eshai’s best friend. They grew up together and they have been close for the entirety of their friendship. Malia believes in magic like the others. She is concerned with her friends’ safety first and foremost. She worries most about the preservation of the sea-dwellers she knows and lives near. She responds negatively to outsiders, especially land-dwellers. For her racism is a particularly sore spot. She is low-key assertive, but she rarely crosses into aggressive. She is warm, loving and overly concerned with the motivations of others.
We are open to any accent and any voice type for Malia.
I doubt she intends on sitting still and letting us do that, though.
[worried] Are you in pain?
Not even with the possibility that these islands are really a mirage?
Seties is one of the island inhabitants. He is nonchalant and laid back with his day to day tasks and keeping an eye on the few visitors to the island. He is fiercely protective of his homeland and does not like the idea of working together with visitors nor welcoming them into their home village. He is more of a follower than a leader yet he has no issues with speaking his mind. He is intelligent and strategic. He is one of the numerous scouts that move through the canopy of the forest to follow and observe visitors.
For Seties we are open to any accent. We are looking for somebody with a mid to low voice.
You think he’s the cause for the shift in the spirits?
I feel as though watching this group here is more important than finding the others.
[slight concern] Oh, no. What should we do?
Tichlynna is the leader of the scouts of natives. She is curious, but cautious. She makes certain to keep her distance from the people they are watching. She is a fair leader and advisor but she looks to their village elder for other decisive decisions in the big picture. She is open to others’ points of view and in talking out all possible options before taking action. She is a helper and supporter.
For Tichlynna we are open to any voice type as well as any accent.
No matter what it was, we need to keep going.
So, you do not want to hear of what brought us straight to you?
We have not found them again.
Zuii is a scout and an in-village apprentice. He is thus, not as swift or skilled as the others with moving through the canopy. He is curious, protective of his friends and wary of outsiders. He has a strong connection with each of his friends and he often worries about them and the past repeating itself with outsiders and magic.
We are looking for a mid to higher voice for Zuii.
[stunned] Kiinatari just fell.
Pronounced: Kee-nuh-tar-ee[slowly] There’s a group with her already.
They’re already getting ahead of us.
Kiinatari is one of the scouts and sages for the village of the natives. She is warm and friendly among her friends. Like all of the island natives, she is wary of outsiders. She is stubborn and she believes in protecting her homeland above all else. She is conversational, observant and dedicated to her role as a sage. She is able to heal herself slowly from injuries. She considers herself a proud warrior.
We are open to any voice type for Kiinatari.
[in pain] That could be true, but it might not be.
Yes! And it was such a sudden shift!
Would such tragedy happen so soon since the spirits were last appeased?
Eman is the village elder. Eman has the ability to see into all possible futures and because of this gift, patience, age and intellect, she is regarded as an authority. She commands the respect of the villagers and she is often sought out for advice. Eman also has the ability to read how magic flows around a person (what in their laymen terms is if the spirits like a person). She is patient, likes to observe others and ultimately has the preservation of magic and her people in mind.
We are looking for somebody who can sound elderly, but otherwise we are open to any voice type for Eman.
What troubles you, young sages?
If you are meant to meet these visitors, the spirits will make it so.
[surprised] Your moods have shifted greatly, spirits.
Edgard is an extra character. He is one of the other explorers on the island whose intent is unknown during the first episode.
We are open to any voice type for him.
[worried] You think so? And that we should just leave?
But what if the animal follows us?
You may have a point.
Fulbert is an extra character. He is one of the other explorers on the island whose intent is unknown during the first episode.
We are open to any voice type for him.
It was just your imagination. Let’s keep moving.
Who else is going to be on an uninhabited island?
We have a lot of ground to cover.
