Cardfight!! Vanguard Abridged
Project Overview
So, they just rebooted the Cardfight!! Vanguard anime (for reasons beyond me), and I was looking for possible voice actors to abridge the series as it comes out! Right now, I'm just looking for the characters introduced in episode 1, and not even all of them! We need voices for:
Aichi, the main character. a timid middle-schooler. Must be able to sound creepy, while not sacrificing an innocent tone.
Miwa, an upbeat, friendly sort who's always helping others.
Mr. Whiting, the enthusiastic teacher.
Morikawa, a "tough guy" who's all bark and no bite.
Morikawa's sidekicks, Izaki and... I don't know who that other guy is. Izaki will likely have more significance later, the other guy... not so much.
Shin, the shopkeeper.
Misaki, the shopkeeper's dispassionate niece with a tragic backstory.
Others will be added as the show progresses. I do require minimal background noise and for lines to be recorded at most a week after they're given to you.

Aichi starts out as a timid little boy, but when he finally stands up for himself after a bully steals his most prized possession, he becomes more confident in himself! He realizes the peak of his self-confidence when he discovers a secret power that only he seems to have, He even turns a little dark for a while...
But as long as he has his friends, he'll always be on the right track!
"I... I would've stayed in the back... So I could run away at any time..."
"What's wrong, Kai? Are you... afraid you might lose to me?"
"Stand up, my avatar! Blaster Blade!"
I think I can edit the video on my own, but it wouldn't be very good. If anyone else can do better, that would be huge!
Say something you think would fit
Miwa has been Kai's best friend since they were children. His only real motivation is to make everybody happy, and he'll do whatever it takes to help others.
"C'mon, Kai! It's been forever since we played!"
"Hey! That's MY card!"
A teacher from the foreign land of America and an extremely minor character, Mark-Sensei will only make a few appearances but nonetheless be an important character to the anime. Expect a lot of jokes revolving around his strange American customs.
"Aichi! What would you have done to make your mark in this tumultous period?"
"I am Ninja Master M!" (say this line with mystery and an extra-deep voice.)
Morikawa starts out as a bully in the original anime, but quickly turns into a joke character with very little actual threat. Be prepared for him to be more intense, though, as this reboot seems to make him much more threatening.
"It's a shame this card has gone unused for so long! How about you... "lend" it to me?"
"Dammit! How did I lose AGAIN?"
Why Izaki hangs out with Morikawa is kind of a mystery. The dude is way better at the game, and doesn't seem to condone Morikawa's violent behavior. Nevertheless, he acts as Morikawa's flunky and does whatever the older teen tells him to.
"Hey, Morikawa! That's enough!"
"You know Aichi, we used to be on even footing... when did you get so much BETTER than me?"
Shin is the owner of Card Capital, the store that Aichi finds himself at most of the time. Expect him to be the butt of a great many jokes, mostly centered around him being the rest of the cast's pack mule.
You finally remembered, didn't you? I've been keeping it for you. Because it's a valuable memory of yours."
"Get off the counter, Sub-manager. I mean, Manager!"
Misaki Tokura is Shin's only employee at Card Capital. She doesn't care much about the game, but her eidetic memory has made her a master at the strategies regardless, and she's easily one of the best players in town! She's a major character, so if you play her, be prepared to be in it for the long run!
"This memory of mine isn't always a blessing. There are some things you just want to forget."
"Keep it down in the shop, please." (extremely dispassionate.)
Emi is Aichi's little sister, and gets into Vanguard after she sees how confident it makes her uncertain big brother. She'll make an appearance every now and then, so be prepared for somewhat sporadic roles.
"Hey, Aichi! Where have you been? It's really late!"
""W-what? No way he has a girlfriend! I'd stake my sister's intuition on it!"
Shizuka is Aichi's mother, and like most mother characters in these shows, that's about as far as her character goes. She cares about her son, and helps him with whatever he needs, but is overall pretty detached from is life.
"Maybe he has a girlfriend?" (Say it jokingly)
"Aichi! Dinner's ready!"
