Car Theft PSA Voice Over. URGENT RUSH CALL.

Car Theft PSA Voice Over. URGENT RUSH CALL.

Project Overview

Hello! First time making a casting call but I'm sure it won't be my last. I work for a police department making a video on how to prevent your car from being stolen from. We're starting the PSA off with a dramatization of a thief picking out a car and stealing from it. The department is using a decoy car program and the "thief" ends up stealing form the bait car and is ultimately caught. The editing is all done for this part of the PSA. I need a voice for the voice over. I being a voice actor myself found that my voice was too young for the sound I'm looking for (I'm also sick! ugh) I'm looking for someone who can record all the lines RIGHT AWAY. This is a rush call. I will likely use your audition lines except the last line I'll send you the name of the police department if you are cast. The picture is a screen cap of the project.

This video will be uploaded almost as soon as I receive the lines. I will be put on youtube and will be shown on the local access channel of the municipality that the police department is in.

I'm looking for a mature voice for this audition. 25 and older unless your voice has a very mature tone to it. This is in time to a video which nearly complete. During the first line a boy is prowling among the cars testing them to see if they're unlocked. "Had an open door" is said as he opens the door of the unlocked car. There needs to be an air of drama to the voice. Its an intense scene.  I would prefer a female voice but a male voice will be considered as well.

  • There are many opportunities for a thief to steal from your car, cracked windows can be pried or broken but 90% of cars broken into.......had an open door.

  • Leaving items in plain sight is an open invitation to theft.  A thief can be in and out of your car with your belongings in the blink of an eye.

  • The Police department is a part of the decoy car program. Those cars are also unlocked but the thieves aren't so lucky.
