Bootleg Dub/Brutally Translated: Re:Zero [Re-casting]

Project Overview

"BOOTLEG DUB, HUH?!"

Yeah, yeah...it's not what you think. I wanted to try out an idea I had after watching the 'Explainer Video' and thought:

"Hey, I wonder if this would work with an Anime?"

With a few hours of retyping scripts (and going overboard with the translations) I have ended up on Casting Call Club in order to personally witness how well the end result does.

Nothing more, nothing less!

"WHAT IS A BOOTLEG DUB?"

Just watch the 'explainer video' and You'll get the idea. Mix it with Anime and VOILA: Bootleg Dubs.

"WHY CALL IT A BOOTLEG? IT'S NOT ILLEGAL...IS IT?"

Any Fandub is technically illegal...--but that's not the point. The name 'bootleg' is also used for music remixes and I personally like the phrase "Remixed" better than "distributed illegally."

Don't you?

"THE LINES MENTIONED ON THE ROLE LIST LOOK REALLY WEIRD..."

HAHAHA~ that's the point!

"OKAY, WELL HOW DO YOU WANT THE ACTORS TO PERFORM THE LINES?"

Alright, just imagine you wanted your friend to buy you something to drink, but instead of:

"Hey, man. Could you buy me a drink?"

It came out like this:

"Hey, Mango. Colour my bearded man-drinker."

See? it obviously sounds foolish but the way it's been said is similar to the first example.

THAT'S HOW!

This idea is supposed to be a fun one. Don't take it too seriously but do not forget your voice acting skills!

It sounds hillarious when it's believable!

"ARE YOU GOING TO DUB ALL OF THE EPISODES?"

Maybe...Annnnd maybe not. I really want to keep these videos short and funny. Rather than dubbing all of the episodes (20 minutes for all), I want to do 1 episode (unless asked for more) under 10 minutes. That way, I can create more without 'dragging the humor' along with it.

By dragging the humor, I mean ruining it. haha.

"OOH~ WAIT! WHERE CAN I WATCH THESE BOOTLEG DUBS?!"

The YouTube page, of course: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTQYESHGzH3X-owJ5loq7sg

When a Bootleg Dub is finished, they will definitely be posted there

Anyways, I hope I've answered your questions.

I look forward to hearing all of your auditions!

P.S: I would like to give credit to TheThirdGathers: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheThirdGathers for this idea.

Although the channel is inactive, I will always give credit where credit is due!

Felt is a stickler when it comes to money due to living in the slums and she hates losing.

She cares about Rom and treats him like her real grandfather.

She greatly trusts Rom's word, especially when it comes to appraisals in price.

Her appearance is considered to be a sign of having royal blood, however as all members of the royal family are currently deceased, there is no way to check if she actually is of the royal family.

  • "Call the automobile what you're on about, but I'm not. Let's empty kakin."

[Please read this line as though you are unsure of what the protagonist is talking about.]

  • "Sorry, Live strong!"

[Please read this line as though you're quickly saying goodbye to get away from somebody.]
