Power Rangers BOOM! Comics Audiobook
Project Overview
This is an attempt to turn the successful series turned comic series of MMPR into an audiobook for the blind and sight impaired. Though for the blind it will also still have visual components to make it accessible for everybody. While a fan project I hope to make it as professional as possible to better endear it to viewers. If you love Power Rangers and want to help out, you should join in.
This project will cover both the MMPR series as well as the Pink! mini-series currently being distributed through the months. We will also do the short gag comics consisting of Bulk and Skull's antics. This is the whole order we're dealing with. Primary editing will be done by myself. This is a complete labor of love and has no direct affiliation with either Saban Brands nor BOOM! Comics themselves.
Sounding exactly like the original cast isn't necessary, though would be appreciated. If you feel you can bring your own unique take on the characters, feel free to audition, we'd love to have you.
We ask that those who audition have microphones that capture sound well, minimal if any background noise,. We want this production to be as proffesional as possible. Most importanly, be available. Having a skype will also be necessary to conduct our read throughs. You can find mine on my home page. Good luck.

The goal for this role is to sound articulate but not to do the stereotypical nerd style of speaking. With the series having a 2016 feel, we feel it'd be wise to update the vocal pattern.

Well, the I/O sensor stream all their environmental readings through a sort of central processor, which takes the data and balances it through the user interface signals.

Kim will also be the main character throughout the Pink mini-series, so we'll require someone with experience to take the role.

For Trini we're looking for a warmer voice amidst the bunch. Something like the cool big sis who can also be the voice of reason to her peers. It didn't have it on the accent designator, but having a vietnamese accent like Thuy Trang had is a plus but not mandatory.

The newest enemy player in the comic series. There are two ways we will accept this one. One way could be a general monster voice and the other can be more normal but subdued. Either way we don't want anything generic. This voice has to be very unique and as such we will be even more critical of this one.

While a "Wicked Witch of the West" approach is all well and good, we want it to be as unique as possible, so don't be afraid to put your own flare onto it. Whatever makes for the best audition.
Adding to that, the Rita here is a bit more menacing and less prone to yelling, so a more restrained and sinister take would probably be the best for this take on her character.
Conversely, when she's Tommy's hallucination she has a snarky side to her, so the duality will be important.

The new kid to Angel Grove and the newest member of the Power Rangers. Having been saved from the clutches of evil Tommy seeks to atone for his past sins, but finds he may not be rid of the evil plauging him as he had thought.
With Tommy being a bit more sullen in this interpretation we wouldn't mind a bit of a more brooding audtion, just not too extreme. As the main character of the series, we'll be demanding a more polished performance.
