Blossoms Bloom Brightest is a commercial yuri (GxG) visual novel that is being made for/inspired by the Yuri Game Jam taking place in October.
The story follows three women who wake up on a spaceship midflight and how they choose to deal with the circumstances they've been dealt. Friendship, romance, or resentment - how will it end?
Each character has under 135 lines; these lines are not taken directly from the script, they're pre-written phrases created to fit a variety of situations, a la Fire Emblem: Awakening. Please note that the lines provided for the auditions are simply examples crafted to test voice ranges. The actual lines are generally between 1 to 5 words long each.
For this project, we're seeking open-minded voice actors who can accurately produce a wide range of emotions. Although the game does not contain explicit sexual content, it may contain voiced lines that could be interpreted as sexual in nature. In addition, there may be some lines that require the VAs to go outside of the character's normal voice range.
Voice actors will be chosen equally based on the following criteria:
- Sound quality
- Acting skills
- Vocal range
- Voice befitting character's personality
The deadline to have all lines sent in is October 28th - please ensure that you can work within this timeframe.

Just in case anyone was wondering, auditions for every role will be open right until the site automatically closes them on Friday night.
There won't be any roles that are chosen off-site, so you can definitely expect a fellow CCC user to be chosen. Voice actors will be selected on October 1st, at which point they may begin recording any time.

Thanks so much for the auditions so far. It's great to hear so many talented voice actors put voices to our characters.
That being said, yesterday we were able to nail down the amount of lines each character has. Erica, the main character, has 133, Kotoha has 128, and Sara has 131. As you can see, there isn't much of a difference. Between now and the end of auditions, those numbers may fluctuate a bit, but they will cap at 134.
With that revelation in mind, we found it in the budget to raise the compensation a bit. We're now offering an extra $5 for each role. Considering the line count ended up being on the higher end of the estimate, it's only fair.

She’s very upbeat, a little odd and quirky, and somewhat of a hipster. She's a huge gamer, loves pranks and jokes, and is a generally happy person. She's not really the type of person to take anything seriously. For her, it's sort of a self-defense mechanism after she was let down far too many times as a child.
"Nice to meet you! I hope we all get along! Hehe~." (happy, excited, friendly, bubbly)
"Wanna go play a game together? It's an RPG. I'll teach you the ins and outs!" (excited, happy, hopeful)
"Ohhh, what's this? Are you two girlfriends now? Cute!" (teasing, happy, endearing)
It's hard for her to find a reason to wake up each morning, and sometimes she even has difficulty bringing herself to do her duties as a doctor despite the fact that she really does want to help others. After being with her fiance for many years, parting with him against her will and without closure, she no longer feels like a complete person.
"*sigh* My name is Sara." (unhappy, depressed, casual)
"This is no time to be playing around." (serious)
"Oh no, you aren't looking well... Why don't I take care of you for a while?" (concerned, sinister)
She's a strong young woman who doesn't let anything get to her. Though she does have worries and fears, she always strives to mask them with other emotions, like courage and happiness. Due to that, it can be easy to get the impression that she's insincere and disingenuous.
"Hello, ladies. I'm Erica Matthews - I'll be your acting captain." (matter-of-factly, friendly)
"Kotoha, what were you thinking?! This could've turned out so much worse!" (suprised, upset, angry)
"What are you saying? I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that..." (surprised, upset, confused)
