Project Overview
Blood Knight: The Monster Within is the official audio drama version of the original story I worked on back in 2015 titled "The Monster Within". I've never created an audio only narrative before I figure I give it a shot with my own written material. This audio drama along with the original story which consisted of six chapters takes place within the same fictional universe as my other works.

Plot: The Blood Knight, a mysterious, murderous vigilante in Detroit known for stopping crime, is being framed for the murders of innocent people and law enforcement. Due to this, the public is now aware of his existence as a killer that is out of control. He and an old ally must find out who the real culprit that is behind these gruesome murders while avoiding the city's police force.

A vigilante in the city of Detroit. Adrien was originally a human, a former aspiring musician until he was attacked by a vampire a year before the events of this series. As a result of this attack, Adrien gained vampire-like abilities such as teleportation, enhanced strength, enhanced senes, etc while retaining his humanity, a rare distinction of being a half human and half vampire hybrid. Now with these gifts, Adrien becomes The Blood Knight to spread fear of his existence to criminals and vampires in the city.Outside his Blood Knight appearance, Adrien can be described as tall (6 ft), slim but slightly muscular, good looking but edgy facial features, shoulder length messy dirty blonde hair, slightly pale skin with yellow-ish/orange eyes.
(serious) This isn't a normal vampire...the way he moves, his aggression, his thirst for blood...his appearance...not human like...he's a monster...a demon.
(sarcastic) Blood mixed with alcohol...mhm vodka...now that's a bad combo.
(serious) Look at me and think about it, one day I can turn into something like that creature from the other night...I'm just lucky I'm not a full blooded vampire.
A priest in Detroit, Father Emilio Cortez can best be described as Adrien's mentor and father figure.The two already have an established history with each other, after Adrien became a half vampire Cortez takes him in and trains him to become a vigilante. Cortez has a troubled past well before the events of this series.He was an enforcer for the Mexican drug cartel then later becoming a vampire hunter. Since then he becomes a man of god and does whatever he can to help Adrien to destroy the evil forces in the city. He can be described as of hispanic descent, with shoulder length hair but shorter than Adrien's, average built, black but graying hair and a five o'clock shadow.
Your wounds may heal faster than your average vampire but remember part of you is still Human.
(serious) Adrien tell me why you murdered two cops last night and you better tell the truth in the name of the lord.
(angry/yelling) You did it! You set the demon free now it's loose! The demon is LOOSE!
A detective for the Detroit City Police Department. David, besides Cortez, is one of the only humans in the city who is fully aware of the existence of vampires. Despite his great skills, it is his theories about vampires that made his collegues look at him in a different way. David has some what of a friendship/rival like relationship with Adrien (The Blood Knight), as he supports his intentions to protect the city but disapproves his sadistic methods. David is also a closeted homosexual but its not his sexuality that determines his character, its his goals to succeed in solving complex crimes.
I'm on vacation...but you guys are fucking it up for me.
(shocked) Adrien goddammit you're the Blood Knight?
(serious) I have a duty to uphold the law and protect this city and it's people...yet you're in my fucking way.
A monstrous feral vampire whose murders attract the attention of The Blood Knight. He is given the name "Nosferatu Killer" due to his resemblance to the fictional vampire creature.
(angry) There's nothing normal about me...look at me I'm a monster!
All I can think about is blood...the thirst for human flesh to keep me alive!
Vampire from the Victorian Era, Ally of The Blood Knight. Charles is the leader and head vampire of the Balthazar House, a vampire clan that Adrien was briefly a member of. Although Balthazar was once good friends with Adrien, he dissapproves his methods of getting involved in human-based crime in Detroit. He also runs a nightclub in the city that houses humans and (secretly) vampires during certain nights.

(angry) Oh you want to pick a fight with me? Now it seems like a perfect time to do so.
Vampire, Former slave during the Civil War, Ally of The Blood Knight. Chukwuma is Balthazar's right hand man and bouncer at his nightclub.
Looks like we meet again half-breed.

An overweight bartender who works at the gay bar "Frank's Out of the Closet"
