Beyond the Western Deep: The Movie
Project Overview
"For over 100 years, the animal races of the Four Kingdoms have lived side-by-side in an uneasy truce. But when conflict ignites in the north, old alliances threaten to send the world into chaos."
I have David Lillie to thank for this pleasant discovery - an epic all-ages fantasy webcomic series entitled 'Beyond the Western Deep', written by Alex Kain and illustrated by Rachel Bennett.
There is no question that the storytelling is expertly crafted - the world is rich with history, the characters dynamic and engaging, the lore goes deep and compliments the plot with sincerity. I was touched by the story of Beyond the Western Deep and I feel in love with the characters - all done just within two chapters. That, to me, was truly an impressive feat.
With emotions still running high after the completion of the three chapters (which includes the prologue) I have made a decision. This will be the next 'movie' project I'd like to dedicate and I would love to get you all involved once again!
The plan is to format it just like 'NORDGUARD the Movie' which was completed six months ago. A combination of high-quality audio complimenting the transition of the sequential art from the series.
The difference is, it'll be even longer. I'm expecting this movie to run between 60-90 minutes.
So come on, if you have what it takes to voice some of the amazing characters featured in 'Beyond the Western Deep', here is your opportunity! Best of luck in the auditions and let's make this happen for the creators and for the fans!
The webcomic is FREE to read on their official website. Don't wait, head over there now and start reading! http://www.westerndeep.net/archive/

Quinlan! ... QUIN! ... Quin?
Oh! The usual. Domestic disputes that ONLY YOU can remedy... Crim wants you to take a public beating so everyone can see how good he is at Tesque, and... You've been summoned. A Lutren envoy's just arrived.
It's never too late, Quin. I think your whole family is watching from the highest treetops, waiting.
Ah, Captain! Welcome! ... You must work on your timing.
Well, it appears that trouble is brewing with our Canid Allies, to the North. Kenosh was just about to explain.
ENOUGH! The Canid are a sworn ally of Sunsgrove, whether we LIKE it or not. We can ill afford to antagonize them in these trying times.
A senior Ermehn scholar who has followed Hardin on his quest to seek refuge for his people among the Four Kingdoms. He is wise and listens to reason. He is extremely loyal to Hardin but continues to question about his methods where sacrifices may lead to overwhelming loses of Ermehn, but more importantly, their honor.
This is a waste of time. I've seen finer warriors on Felis slave blocks... I don't see the point if he kills their best warrior.
Impressive as always Hardin... But what purpose did that really serve?
Is that how you see your own people? ... This is WRONG Hardin. I'd rather we didn't sacrifice ANYONE.
Leader of the Sratha-Din Hardin is an Ermehn warrior in his late twenties and is a gifted tactician with a powerful resolve. Raised in the harsh Northern Wastes, he is determined to achieve his goals at any cost, and has a great sense of Ermehn pride.
I do not claim to be a savior of anyone, nor the leader of anything.
YOU'RE ALREADY DEAD!
The Canid hunt us down like worthless savages because THAT'S WHAT WE ARE! That's what we've BECOME!
You're late. *tongue in cheek tone to his best friend for being late to an important meeting*
Honestly, I didn't expect it either! ... I hate travelin' with my father. I'm sure you noticed, but he's cheerier than ever.
HUH! You blame these century-old "mistakes" for YOUR war, too?! ... But WE'RE not guilty of anything! Why won't you just let the Ermehn suffer what they brought on THEMSELVES?
Yes, your Highness. Rumors have spread to our kingdom of escalating TENSION between the Canid of Aisling and the exiled Ermehn tribes. The Ermehn are planning to fight back. When they do, there will be war. And we'll be right in the thick of it.
War, CAPTAIN, is what you get when you have two armies who don't like each other very much.
I speak of MURDER, your Highness! Murder on a scale we've not seen since -
HEY! CAPTAIN! ... So! Our ILLUSTRIOUS CAPTAIN finally decides to put in an appearance!
I'm sure. Well, maybe you'd be able to squeeze some time into your BUSY SCHEDULE to demonstrate the core tenets of Tesque to our young acolytes?
Of COURSE you wouldn't. You're the CAPTAIN now! VERY busy. LOTS of important things to do... Our LAST captain would have done it.
My grandfather grew up on the battlefield. Everyone respected him. When I became a scout, he almost disowned me.
Of course, M'Lord. I was just, ah... Donning the proper attire. *salutes* Captain Kenosh. Dakkan. So, what'd I miss?
Wait, WAR? Your majesty, what's he talking about? ... (!) Yes, I know THAT. But why would Sunsgrove need to get involved?
