(Watch the video to see the original Out of Service)Back in Service is a reboot of an old Gears of War Machinima Series called Out of Service. The show filled with dark humor and death revolves around a squad of Gears as they they survive the locust war and other gears. All the while everyone dies around them. The new reboot will also have a new addition to it, most obvious is the Gears for Hire inc. a mercenary group who went out of the service to help people in need.
Leroy is the leader of Tango Squad, while he has good intentions and leaves no man behind, he tends to get people killed. A lot. Leroy also seems to care for his men despite their constant arguing. Watch Out of Service to get a feel for him

Anything you think would fit
Peter Mathis is an outgoing Gear with a tendacy to view war as cool and fun at times. He often risks himself for dumbest things like baiting a sniper. Mathis also tries to find the fun in some situations, but usually ends up in him nearly getting killed. Mathis is also Sam’s bane of existence.
“Aw man! And the fun just got started!”
“C’mon, I promise I won’t kill anyone with it, even though it’s an explosive, long range, dangerously sharp weapon”

Sam Dean has the attributes that sniper would never have. He’s loud, has no patience, and misses a lot. Yet he’s Tango’s squad only sniper. Sam has a cynical attitude and argues a lot with everyone in his squad. Mathis is the bane of his extistence despite the fact that Sam actually cares for his fellow Gears, even though he may have blown off one of their heads by accident
“Holy hell! Mathis!”
“Son of a bitch! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to blow your head off buddy!”
“I wonder what’s worse.. running to some godforsaken cafe, or staying here until they eventually kill us. It’s the biggest mystery in the fuckin world.”
Sergeant Argus West is trigger happy man who loves to kill grubs and blow shit up. He has his moments as a leader but there’s nothing more thrilling to him than blowing up a locust grub into bits and pieces. Sergeant West is out of the service of the COG, going instead to the mercenary company know as Gears for Hire inc.
“You’re damn right I’m gonna make you go by yourself!”
“Let’s blow shit up! Yee haw!”
“Stein! Status report!”
Stein is Sergent West’s second in command. A focused man who tries to find the most logical approach in engaging the enemy. Stein is also a bit crazy, learning locust speak throughout the years and only speaking bits and pieces. He also turns into bloodythirsty at random, like a switch being turned on as he goes out his way to kill grubs, overlooking the smart approach.
“Alright we need to rush them, first I need someone to attack them on their left flank, that’ll give us a window to take out most of them”
“Save your ammo! You can’t hit shit from this distance”
“We’re halfway through our ammo, use controlled bursts!”
Edward Milton or the ‘Rookie’ is greener than grass after a constant rainstorm. He’s the newest recruit to Oscar Company, following Sergeant West to end. He also seems to jam his a gun more than he actually fires it, resulting in him complaining about it. Rookie is also surprisingly resilient, surviving certain death and somehow outliving most Gears.
“Shit my gun jammed! Cover me!”
“Oh god! oh god! Locust!”
“Hey how do you use the chainsaw? Like I have an idea but I can’t seem to....”
Wesley Gardener is one of the Gears in Tango Squad. He has a short temper and a desire to kill all the locust. Unfortunately, he will only be in two episodes before his fateful demise.
“Come and get some!”
“Rush the bastards!”
Adam is a gear who will die on the first episode unfortunately. He is seen as private who is scared of dying.
“Locust!”
“I don’t want to die!”
Michael H Gimmick is a man who has a very short temper. He seems like your buddy, friendly and all sunshine. Just don’t get on his bad side which is nearly impossible to avoid. Gimmick is an insane sociopath, beating some of his men to a pulp just because they forgot to call him friend. Only god knows what he does to those who disobey his orders
“Buddy! Come in here so we talk! Don’t worry, I won’t bite”
“Don’t fucking give me that shit! I know you’re just an incompentent piece of garbage!”
“You goddamn useless. Piece! Of! Shit! I’ll kill you my damn self!”
Kolash Mercy is a Gorasnayan medic who served with the UIR. He’s a medic for the COG but likes to make fun of and verbally abuse his patients
“Ha! Morphine is for pussies and junkies, real men numb pain with alcohol!”
“Shut the fuck up and take it like man, UIR didn’t bitch like this”
Wendell Alsak is the advisor of Colonel Gimmick, helping him sort out missions and squads. He’s also the punching bag for anyone below his rank, simply for his unfortunate name.
“My name is Alsak! Not Ballsack! You know what forget it! I’m done here”
“Follow your orders... you don’t want to piss off Gimmick”
Anthony Reese is a medic stationed at an abandoned outpost. He’s the worst combat medic in the world since he can’t stand the sight of blood and most of the patients he tends to usually die because he can’t hold in his lunch.
“Please don’t make me do my job, I think I’m gonna vomit from the sight of blood..”
“Ah geez! Can you just... not bleed all over me? Please?!”
“There’s so much blood! How are you still alive! Oh fu- (throwing up noises)
The Main Villains of the season, they seek to kill Tango Squad for revenge after one of the gears killed one of their own. They will say some complete sentences and sometimes will say only one word
“Kill them..”
“Hostiles!”
“Cowards...
“For the COG!”
Dying sounds
“Take cover!”
Locust grubs will have to say some unique dialogue during the series, simple things like ‘Attack’ or even a couple sentences.
“Attack the hostiles!”
(Laughing like an animal)
“Son of a bitch!”
Although a scarce part of the story, the voice operator is crucial at asking questions that literally have no correlation to your situation. It’s a wonder how the mercenary group Gears for Hire inc. got back in service
“Hello there! Thank you for calling Gears for Hire inc. we hope you enjoy our service!”
“Thank you! Now 86 more questions to go!”
“Thank you! Would you like to take our survey?”
Captain Aiden Drew is in charge of defending and managing Sierra Base. He is straight to the point, spending no time with bullshit. He will only be in a couple episodes
"Protect the base at all costs!"
"What do you mean you're sending Tango squad? Do you want us to lose?"
"Tell Gimmick to go fuck himself"
JJ is a glorified gatekeeper in the Jacinto Platform, guarding the raven area from any ‘rogues’ from entering without any identification. He doesn’t really know how to fight as his only purpose is to annoy people
“How do I know you’re not stranded?”
“Why doesn’t anyone like me?!”
“Hey, you can’t come through without proper ID. Hey hey! Where are you going!”
