Pain shot up my back. I screamed, but it was drowned out by my mothers. A pained expression was etched across her face. Her own glassy eyes filled with horror. A rage induced roar swallowed our cries. It was my father. I glanced over. I wish I hadn't.
Sometimes everything around you, turns against you, like a wave of destruction. And things you once loved, overwhelm you and begin to surround everything you own. As you gasp for air, you begin to suffocate. Suffocate in your own world. Suffocate on everything you ever knew. As you begin to drown, in your own insanity.
I saw myself. Somehow. A boy just like Ben. And a girl just like me. Except lifeless, bodies. A shot through my chest and they were dragging us out of the lake. I managed to catch the headline “Suspected Murder, Boy Drowns, Girl shot, Father arrested. March 25th”
