Attila Is Not Dead
Project Overview
*THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT AUDITIONS*
Our episode of Falcon Wing Dreams~Liberty, is complete and available for hearing on Mixcloud. I just hope you enjoy the show. ;>
'Attila Is Not Dead' is a piece featuring the classic poem 'America' by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, with additional writing by Thunder Falcon and will be heard in the Fourth of July episode of Falcon Wing Dreams, a radioshow featuring brief story, poetry and other performance readings with musical scoring. This will be the first episode of Falcon WingDreams.
Attila, is meant to be a thought provoking performance piece, almost a play of sorts, with voices speaking up to paint a broader picture of what we may be facing as a country, with a deliberate exploration as to where our true threats and enemies lie.

I don't know why, but I picture George Clooney or Laura Linney, reading this. (Just a thought.) Play Truthsayer, almost as a mentor coming in and laying down the hard facts in a thoughtful and profound manner . Again, It's important that Truth Sayer's voice is genuine, so speak the words as if they are your own.
Passage One
Passage Two
This part has already been cast. But hopefully you can listen to the tone of a couple poem passages, to get an idea where we're headed. Overall, I hope to form a balanced contrast between the classical language of the poem and more modern language of the characters sharing their own testimonies. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO LINE THREE. THEY NEED TO MATCH UP IN TONE AND RHYTHM, BECAUSE THEY WILL BE SAID AS A GROUP.
Passage One
Passage Two
The tone of our homeless man or woman should be sad and withdrawn. Really try to put yourself in their position and how badly they feel about being pushed aside and forgotten.
Passage One
Passage Two
Brave is trying to share his personal experience, so it's important his voice feels genuine. Just try and put yourself into his experience. Speak as if these are your words.
Then later as Brave begins talking about freedom as a gift, he becomes reflective and even kind, because he can still see the world for what it could be.
Passage One
Passage Two
Again, try to put yourself in the position of the speaker. She has something important to say and she really wants people to hear it. After all their future may depend upon it. It's important her voice is genuine, so speak her words as if they are yours.
