Asriel's Adventures: An Undertale Audio Drama
Project Overview
Hello, fans of Undertale! This casting call is for an Audio Drama known as Asriel's Adventures: Paragon of Fate. It follows a story line in which Asriel (having been resurrected by Frisk Dreemurr, who split her soul with him) and his girlfriend, Karen, spot a strange creature in the forest on one of their dates. Asriel, curious as to who, or what, the creature was, sets out on his own adventure to find the creature, but not without some pain along the way.

Some of the lines for Asriel have been updated. At the time this casting call was made, the story was still in an incomplete phase, and these lines were written in the finished product.
Asriel Dreemurr, heir to the Dreemurr Throne, son of Asgore and Toriel Dreemurr, King and Queen of the Monsters. Craving adventure after having grown up in the Old Dreemurr Castle on the surface, Asriel longs to do what his adopted sister, Frisk, once did. Asriel is grown up in this story, so he should sound as such. Aim for a 'Shining Armor' tone of voice.
(trembling) You have no idea what it was like. Timeline after timeline, kill after kill after kill. You can’t fathom how many died at my hands. To be honest, I’ve lost count, and I wouldn’t care to remember how many Resets I caused. I don’t understand why people can’t give monsters like Aberon a second chance.
A skeleton I know once said to me, ‘I know you can do better. You just have to try.’ Do better, Flowey.
(laughingly) "Are you kidding me? I've lived with my mother and my sister, not to mention her teacher, who is a woman, and was Captain of the Royal Guard. Yes, women should fight! Besides, the fact that you fight as well as you do… I'd be lying if I said it wasn't hot."
Frisk is the adopted daughter of Asgore and Toriel Dreemurr, and sister to Asriel. She cares about everyone she meets, and is willing to defend them all down to her last breath. In a battle with Chara's Shade, Asriel shared some of his powers with her, and gave her godlike powers to use only in dire situations.
Asriel, be careful out there... okay? I lost my parents, and I lost you in the Underground... I couldn't afford to lose you again.
What did you do to him? Tell me what you did to Asriel, or I'll beat it out of you!
(God form; some audio editing required.) Aberon Dreemurr. I have seen your soul. It is black with
hatred, and stained with the blood of many innocent humans and monsters. The
crimes you have committed against both human and monsterkind are unforgiveable,
and deserve swift, sovereign justice. But because I am bound by the laws of
pacifism, I am offering you one final warning: Leave now, and never return, or
suffer at the hands of those you betrayed. If you were wise, you would heed my
warning
Sans is a retired comedian, and husband to Frisk Dreemurr. His voice should sound sarcastic and well rounded. The Accent must be emphasized
(to Frisk) Honey… the kid's right. We have to keep this a secret. Besides, they sound pretty well taken care of.
I know why you're upset, Azzy. You feel trapped, right? No freedom? Heh... I can relate. So can Papyrus, and Undyne, and all the other friends Frisk made in the Underground.
Tell me a pun, and if it's clever enough to make me laugh so hard, or groan for more than three seconds, you get the role.
Karen Christianson is Asriel's Human Girlfriend. She met him at Frisk and Sans' wedding ceremony, and bonded like glue ever since then. She's a fighter, and wants only the best for Asriel. Her heritage is a mix of Irish and Vietnamese, which is an odd mix, but still an interesting combination to try and voice. The accent must be pronounced, but not overbearing, and the tone of voice is gruff, but still lovable.
This is vermin? But… it's adorable! And it really seems to like me… You may even have some competition, Azzy.
(Reacting to 100% pure Monster Food for first time, sound happy, dreamy) Guys?! Am I supposed to be seeing rainbows? If this drink is a drug, then I love it!
(Sleepily) Morning, Fluffybutt. You know, despite the bad day that you had yesterday I can't think of anything better to wake up to than my handsome man.
Flowey The Flower is Asriel's evil counterpart, which only makes minor appearances throughout the story. His voice is high and wheedling, and at times, rather menacing. Some water will be needed for your throat, should you choose to do this role, so be warned.
I already made my presence known to that Aberon fellow. It was in your voice… Didn't you notice? How Aberon recoiled when you told him not to hurt that sweet, sweet girl?
Tell yourself whatever you want to believe. You're only deluding yourself. Karen knows that you wouldn't hurt her. Tell me… What do you think she'd think of me?
Crazy laugh
Asgore Dreemurr is Asriel's Father, and his voice should have the power and majesty of a king. His voice should sound similar to Brynjolf from Skyrim, but deeper.
I looked up to him as a child; If he asked me to do something, I would do it. He was more than just a brother: he was my best friend. I wanted to reach out to him when he was down and he did the same for me. I trusted him, But he let his jealousy and desires get the better of him. For years, I questioned myself about what went wrong.
Many a wonder will await, insured for those who find the Paragon of Fate. Those who touch this treasure great and rich, is guaranteed a single wish; A word of caution to the finder, The Ancient Ones leave this grim reminder. If ye have soul, true and pure, then peace and prosperity the world endure. But should ye soul be filled with hate, a world of Chaos, thou shalt create.'
Asgore's brother, who was banished from the surface by Asgore for practicing and abusing Forbidden Magic during the war, and for killing Jorin, his father. Aberon should sound somewhat like Benedict Cumberbatch's rendition of Smaug in terms of tone.
Who are these people that dare to enter my domain?(turning attention, so any sound of acknowledgement) Ah… I can't complain too much… You've brought fresh meat, Grag.
Hmm? A Boss Monster protecting a human? This is not just strange; it's amusing, as well.
A fish. My brother trained a fish?! That's rich. Come, now. Don't be so hostile. I know what some monsters are capable of. Please, enjoy your breakfast, it's getting cold.
Wife of Asgore Dreemurr. Friendly, but clingy at times. Cares about her family, and wants her son to stay happy, healthy... and alive.
You left at 2 in the morning, just so you could spend time with Karen on some mountaintop?! Young man, you nearly gave your father a heart attack! He's been worried sick about you since we found the bed empty this morning!
That's all well and good, but the real problem here is Asriel's lack of responsibility, not the sun rising. How many times do I have to tell you, Asriel, that you always leave a note when you leave the house?
Asgore, don't feel guilty. You did what was necessary to protect the other monsters, and even the humans. You were a hero.
Grag is an Ironhead Goblin, and is the General of Aberon's Guardsmen. He's short in stature, but is just like Undyne in his fighting style. Aggressive and abrasive in battle, but otherwise kind and (often crass) with his friends. Sounds like Smeagol in terms of Tone.
Filthy Human! How dare you address a monster like a superior!
You don't know? It's taboo for a human and a monster to be romantically inclined towards one another down here! I'm keeping you safe!
Claus…? Get your furry behind out there before I throw it in the river!
Undyne is the Ex-Captain of the Royal Guard of the Underground. Her voice should exude power and confidence.
(Scream this loud) FLUFFYBUTT! ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE! YOUR SISTER IS WORRIED SICK ABOUT YOU! SHE'S HAVING A FUCKING PANIC ATTACK, SAYING THAT YOU'RE IN TROUBLE!
Fuhuhuhuhuhu! Come on, goat boy! Show me what you've got!
Chillby is the owner of a local smoothie shop in Aberon's kingdom, Paradise, known simply as "Chillby's". She's calm, cool, and collected, but fierce when angered, especially during happy hour.
A human? You know we don't serve them, Grag.
If you don't like the temperature, sweetheart, we have outdoor seating. Otherwise, you can *chill out* somewhere else.
If you get frisky with me, sir, I'm going to have to teach you some manners. Besides... you're not my type.
Jerry is the first soldier in uniform that Asriel and Karen meet. This character is free range on the voice, so do whatever.
I'm sorry, Karen. I'll make the next rank on my own. But thank you.
(Stretching noises) You have no idea how good that felt! That armor is not meant for four arms.
I don't know why the other guards leave me to do all of their work. All they ever do is drink...
Claus is a feline soldier, and his voice should sound deep and exotic, matching his appearance.
Second Lieutenant Claus, at your service, ma'am. It would be an honor to face you in battle.
Kowl is a Chameleon Monster, and is shifty in his fighting style, so his voice should match; thin and wispy.
First Lieutenant Kowl, reporting for battle, sir. Who is my opponent? The red haired wench in the ring?
(Choking for air) You're… You're good… for a girl… No… a woman. Your skills rival us men.
Bjulg is large and in charge, and has the gut to match. He tends to throw his weight around, quite literally, and his voice should have a nice Southern drawl to match his big personality.
Captain Bjulg, of The Paradisian Guardsmen, here to lay the hurtin' on y'all. Hope you like pancakes, cuz that's what you'll be in a second!
(in humorous pain) Hey, Kowl. How's it hangin'?
I'm pretty sure I have a concussion, so I think I'll lay here and sleep it off... Ugh...
Blanca is the serious counterpart of Noir, and the first half of Aberon's Historian and Wizard, Gris. Being accidentally split into two people by a spell, Blanca and Noir act as brother and sister, but are in fact the same person. Blanca should sound gruff and mean.
"We found something rather strange! There’s something like a passageway, but neither of us could access it! The miners are too nervous to dig through it, because they think it’ll cause a collapse!”
“Hey! Don’t touch the pom-pom, you flea-bitten little…! Ugh! This is why I HATE Grobzugs!
If only we hadn’t separated ourselves with that spell! Then we'd be able to heal you right as rain!
Noir is the fun counterpart of Noir, and the second half of Aberon's Historian and Wizard, Gris. Being accidentally split into two people by a spell, Blanca and Noir act as brother and sister, but are in fact the same person. Noir should sound bouncy and cheerful.
We were a historian named Gris. There wasn’t a single question we couldn’t answer! Until that one evening, where we came across an entry in an old spellbook. Curiosity got the better of us, and we tried the spell out, only to find that it didn’t make copies of the person in question, but split it apart. I’m the calmer, more rational side of… whatever he is.
“It’s actually rather fortuitous that that creature stowed away in your bag! Grobzugs can fit through any hole they can get their head into."
I had a nibble off of one of the Solomite crystals, okay? I was peckish… Pink's my favorite flavor... Passion Fruit...
