Anthologies of Ullord: Divine Saga 1: Cosmic Potential
Project Overview
In an aetherial plane, separate but parallel to the world of Ullord, live a pantheon of thirteen deities. These gods and goddesses are the presiding forces that guide and govern the lives of the mortals that inhabit that world. Each has ultimate command over specific domains, in order to keep their governance orderly. However, these domains, while clearly defined, regardless see some overlap between them. While not typically a concern, at times this overlap creates friction between these fickle, capricious deities, and friction can grow easily into conflict.
These clashes of divinity can make the lives of Ullord's mortals more volatile. Join us now, for a glimpse beyond the veil into the aetherial world of the gods.
This is another crossover between mediums for us. We are normally narrative writers, but with the success of the Anthologies of Ullord: Curse of the Blight audiowork, we are looking into doing additional projects in the same medium.
This is a shorter work (about 75 speaking lines total, 7 non-speaking, reaction sounds total) with only a handful of roles. There is no explicit subject matter contained within this work, nor are there any alluded to adult themes or emotional triggers.

So, the splicing together of the actors' lines...
Don't be too harsh. I have no real audio engineering experience. :) https://soundcloud.com/user-382499573/divine-saga-1-cosmic-potential -
For those who prefer video updates to my long, winding testimonials...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=py3zci8NvlU&feature=youtu.be Here is a video about the project closing! The short of it is that we're now re-listening to auditions, talking over everything etc etc. We are hoping to be quick with our turn arounds. And thank you to everybody who has auditioned. You are all amazing and we loved listening to your auditions!
Barbas, the god of fear, likes mortals himself. He is very hands-off, but he does take an interest in what mortals occupy their time with and with preserving life. He granted mortals the ability to feel and recognize fear and self-preservation responses. He even prides himself on the first primal fears of the dark, heights, blood and the unknown since they are often key to teaching survival. He is reflective, perceptive and happy to help out mortals when they ask of his aid.
For Barbas’ voice we are looking for somebody with a soft voice and a slow and deliberate delivery.
That does make him an interesting case. And an interesting mortal.
What brings you to the mortal plane?
And why might I feel this child to be worthy of me?
Priti, the goddess of desires, can be meddlesome, but she is very choosy. She has high standards of the mortals she will give her domain’s gifts to, selecting only the most ambitious or charismatic mortals to bear her favor. She sees herself as being paramount to civilization. Without needs there is no survival, without wants there is no growth and only stagnation. She is a very prideful goddess who more often borders on narcissism.
For Priti’s voice, we are looking for somebody with a soft, sultry delivery with no preferences of voice range.
That does sound like as good a reason as any, to me.
What part of “we stay out of it” did you not understand?
Mikael, sweetie, why did you just do that…?
Mikael, the god of war/fire/forge, is a god who often sits and watches. He is very wait and see and rarely takes a hands on approach. When he selects mortals to pay mind to he is often supportive and is on their side. He is eager to help out mortals who call out to him or summon his strength. He is larger than life, bombastic and energetic. He can have a short fuse and an explosive temper.
For Mikael we are looking for somebody with a deep voice. The ability to be loud, bombastic and energetic is a must.
Tell me more about this child you’ve all blessed, then.
But why is it only my domain that she takes such offense to?
They are NOT abominations! They are masterworks of craftsmanship!
Avani, the goddess of nature, is a very pure-thinking deity. She is at odds with progress and impeding on her domain with civilization progress. She sees things in black and white with little room for there to be middle ground. She is also bored easily, and finds mortals interesting to watch for only a short while, even ones she has given her favor to. When she likes mortals, she stays with them throughout their lives and often throughout their descendants’ lives.
We are open to any voice type for Avani.
Why must he be so stubborn and argumentative and intrusive on my domain?
So, soon necromancers will not offend your domain?
I am still certain Mikael is the one who put fire there.
Mara, the goddess of life and death, is a happy deity. She interacts with all mortals when they die, casting judgment upon them, and then escorting them to where they are to spend their afterlife. Because of this, she cares about mortals deeply and has an attachment to each of them in a very parental way. Despite seeing all life as her children, Mara only rarely offers her direct blessings to mortals, though she commonly answers prayers to help heal those who are alive, but injured.
For Mara’s voice we are looking for a medium to low pitch voice so long as the actor possesses the ability to remain perky and peppy.
Avani? Where is Mikael? He requested I come to see him.
I say let him have his fun, personally.
There is a drastic difference between artificial life and undeath.
The narrator is a third person omniscient role that will be reading the descriptions that make no sense in the completed project without explanation. This includes settings and scene summaries that would otherwise not be known given the nature of the script.
For a narrator, having concise, clear dictation is a must.
We have no gender, voice or accent preferences for the narrator.
This story begins on the aetherial plane where the deities and similar beings reside.
[Aetherial is pronounced (ā-t͟hir-ē-u̇l) a as in lay, th as in this ir as in ear, e as in feet, ul as in pull]
On the mortal plane, several deities have taken an interest in a mortal child a newborn.
Those were some of the inhabitants of Ullord’s pantheon
