Amnesia The Dark Descent "Remember - Waiting for the Rain"
Project Overview
WHAT IS THIS?
Within Amnesia The Dark Descent's game files there is a PDF titled "Remember" with 5 short stories connecting to the main lore. In celebration of the game's 10 year anniversary, OVAS will be arranging a series of audio dramas of the stories and posting them on our YouTube channel. This casting call page was created in hopes of finding additional voices for the remaining roles.

REQUIREMENTS AND DEADLINES
- Provide an email to contact you, send lines, and deliver takes. Once cast, we will send the full lines in a PDF with respective character lines highlighted. Optimally your takes can be sent through the same email using Google Drive.
- Deadline for auditions is September 6th. This is a hard deadline with no current plans to extend.
- Deadline for takes is September 17th. If you are unable to record/provide lines by that date, don't audition. If we do not receive your takes by this date, you will be recast without payment. **Extra roles are exempt; all lines are written in 'audition lines'.**
- Have a PayPal account, this is how we will pay you for your role. We will send out payment when your takes are delivered and reviewed. If you do not have a PayPal and still decide to audition, do not expect to be paid.
- Retakes may be asked for, but only at rare instances. These instances can include a missing word, incorrect tone/pronunciation, corrupted audio, etc. We will review your takes the day they're delivered to request retakes ASAP if needed.
- Submit a clean audition. You may use noise reduction and your preferred methods to clean up your audio, but any auditions with heavy background noise, clipping, and/or other audio issues will be excluded. **Do not add audio effects. We will add those ourselves if needed.**
- 2 takes maximum. Please refrain from sending an audition with 7+ takes of 1 line. Trim it down to your best 2 takes. If you have a good blooper, feel free to send it in at the end of the audition.
- Feel free to submit multiple auditions. This can either be for the same character or multiple characters, it's your choice.

The loud and aggressive Gustaf.
To put it simply: he is the abusive father. We imagine a voice that's loud, deep, and gruff for his character who is able to slip into a little bit of crazy. Convincing shouts are crucial for his character.
(At a funeral for his son) [sad and solemn, not outwardly crying]
“Why couldn’t it been one of the girls...”
(The family tries to eat and move forward, but he is not having it) [angry shouting]
“Are we really going to eat? On a day like this?! Show some damn respect, Agathe!”
(After catching his daughter as she tried to run) [still aggressive and composed, but clearly crazy and dillusional]
“I knew it. You are not my daughter. You are an Erkling – a Changeling. You had us all fooled, didn’t you?”
Elise, a young lady with a family going through some rough times.
Despite being a central character, she's a quiet girl. We have no particular voice in mind for her, just one befitting a young lady who is able to emote. Other voice lines like a noise/grunt when thrown to the ground and panting will be needed.
(While talking with a friend at her brother's funeral, wondering where the rain is) [calm yet solemn]
“Maybe God doesn’t see anything worth crying about.”
(After being caught by her delirious father, scared for her life) [scared and on the verge of tears]
“Please... dad...”
Margarethe, Elise's sister.
After a rough day, the family tries to have a calm dinner, but that can't be done. Margarethe tries to offer something she thinks would help the household and ease the tension. There's no particular voice we have in mind for this character, just one fitting a mature young lady. If you auditioned for Elise and/or Agathe, feel free to audition here with a distinct voice.

(Father has stormed off after a rough day) [careful and soft]
“Mother... I have thought about it. I will marry Immanuel after all. I think it would help out with the money.”
Agathe, Elise's mother.
A struggling mother with an angry husband. There's no particular voice we have in mind for this character, just one befitting an mother. If you auditioned for Elise and/or Margarethe, feel free to audition here with a distinct voice.

(After one of her daughter's offers help, she looks to Elise expecting the same) [grateful sounding, then that 'vocal glare']
“I knew you would come to your senses, you are a good girl. Something I wish all my girls would be,”
