Inferno Nightshade s the first friend that the main character Aroha Miromiro helping her around the different realms of Alera.

Inferno has one younger brother called solar Nightshade.
Has found to have a romantic liking to Austin Rosalsky .
Inferno is also a dragon hybrid and is a mage ( all mages can use all types of magic they just specialize in different types )

Aroha Miromiro is a 13 year old Maori girl.   stuck in a orphanage she never got to meet her parents. 

unknown to everyone around, her twin sister Crystal Miromiro who died at birth has been helping her as a ghost.
Aroha has genetic heart disease meaning even a little bit of pressure put of her heart will cause a heart attack.
one afternoon after walking back to the orphanage falls into a interdimensonal rift that reacted to her twin sister presence. in there she meets Inferno Nightshade who guides her around the realms trying to get her back home. 

  • (cheerfully) Sup my bro! the names Aroha Miromiro!

  • (screaming) AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....

  • (???any emotion)  WHO THE HECK ARE YOU! YOU JUST WALKED THROUGH FIRE LIKE IT WAS NOTHING!1

living by herself in the forest realm. she has wanted to explore outside of her realm.
even thou she is a wolf hybrid she often acts like a cat.
she sees Aroha Miromiro as a motherly figure
