Age of Valor needs a couple of good men!

Age of Valor needs a couple of good men!

Project Overview

This is a recast of two roles that had been filled for the first handful of chapters in the first book in my Age of Valor series: Heritage. The actor had to leave due to personal issues and I'm looking for someone to pick up where he left off with two different roles.

Instead of going the traditional audiobook route for my novels, I have decided to give them the old fashioned radio drama treatment. I have already published the first three books in this planned series of eight, so while I only plan on producing the first book in this podcast, there is a huge potential for this to continue throughout the entire length of the series, especially given the cast's enthusiasm to keep going.

BEFORE YOU AUDITION, PLEASE READ BELOW.

* This series is Christian Fantasy and deals with spiritual themes, both good and evil. If this makes you uncomfortable, a role in this production is not for you.

* There are Discord cast meetings before every chapter is recorded so that we can all get a feel for the emotion of the scenes and settings. Each cast member in the given chapter, along with the narrator is present so we can read through the chapter, go over any notes, then do a second read-through before any recording is done throughout the following week.

* Please have a good mic. If there is distortion or a lot of stuff in the background, I won't be able to use your audio and sadly, won't be able to use you. I can be pretty picky.

* Pay attention to pronunciations! There are some pretty funky ones in here and I've done my best to help you out. ~_^

If you're curious about the book and want to check out the reviews to see if this is even worth your time, I don't blame you! Take a gander. Have fun, and good luck! Any questions at all, please don't hesitate to email me. https://smile.amazon.com/Age-Valor-Heritage-D-Morris/dp/1503340139/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1511026608&sr=8-1&keywords=age+of+valor

  • (hesitant/careful) "Do not fault me for wanting to keep you safe. It has been my motive since the day you and Kenayde arrived."

  • (fatherly) “Lower your voice. Sit, please. I will try to explain. I will ask you to remember your tone. I have no doubt that at one point or another you will feel the need to express that rather audible temper of yours, but please..."

  • "(story telling) Before your father had you there was an island just off the northwestern coast of Ibays - Magroh Island; you've heard it mentioned in your studies. The island was small; if it was as large as Nivar, I would be surprised. But it needn't have been large to be intimidating or a threat to anyone. There was nothing on Magroh but trees and one small mountain. Again, nothing at all to concern oneself with. It was what the mountain contained that made the island so important."

* Jovial, passionate, determined

* Mid 20s

* Siness is pronounced SIN-ess

  • (Impatient) “This is bloody absurd. I have seen the princess before, several years ago. As some of you know, I was a professional traveler before coming to Siness, doing what I could, where I could, to make a living. Five times I was inside the Castle Montania, and twice I saw the princess. This princess.”

  • (Loving) “My love,” Jaryn began, practically sighing the words. “How long have I waited for this day. From the very moment I saw you, all blonde tangles and untamed temper, I knew you were the one the Giver had been saving me for. Created me for. You had my heart the moment you told me where it was I could stick the lute I had strapped to my back.”

  • “Council is nothing more than a bunch of formality and pretense. Ashlynn will give her report of this past year, someone will ask her if she realizes the consequences, though it is clearly beyond that point. She'll get haughty and ill-tempered, which is always fun to see, by the way. That is, unless you happen to be on the receiving end.”
