Acadia's Edge - Episode One
Project Overview
CASTING CALL: ACADIA'S EDGE
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Acadia's Edge is an original horror-thriller series animated in Gacha Life 2, following three teenage friends across a small Nova Scotia town as they're pulled into a slow-building supernatural threat neither science nor local hunting knowledge can fully explain. Character-driven, dialogue-heavy, and paced like a slow burn rather than jump-scare horror. Episode 1 is scripted and ready to record once casting is complete.
LOGLINE
Three lifelong friends take one last camping trip before senior year starts, and run into something in the woods that doesn't behave like anything they know how to hunt, hide from, or explain.
This is meant to be a fun, low-pressure production with a small team, just me, the voice cast, possibly someone helping with posing, and possibly a soundtrack artist. Not a big studio operation, just people who want to make something good together.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Please submit a clean, dry (no music/effects) voice recording, USB and XLR mics are preferred but not needed.
No prior VA credits required, but a demo reel or sample of prior work is appreciated if available.

The group's comic relief, always cracking a joke at the worst possible moment. Not the smart one or the brave one, just the one who keeps things light until he really can't.

You must have a massive mancrush on him to have a sticker on the back of your phone.

Helps stage scenes in Gacha Life 2 alongside me. The engine's limited to sit, stand, walk, run, and jump, so this role is about making the most of those poses to sell a scene, timing, framing, small touches that add life within those constraints.

*Say something you think would fit*
Composes original score for the show's tension and atmosphere. This is separate from the end credits, those will use licensed music I've already chosen (Episode 1's is "Lawless Soirez" by Gill Landry). This role covers the actual in-episode score, slow-burn dread over jump-scare stingers, comfortable with quiet more than loud. Main reference: Mark Korven (The Witch, The Lighthouse). Unconventional, textured, folk-horror leaning rather than orchestral. That's the tone I'm looking for. He's also Canadian, which feels fitting given where this is set.
Drop a demo or track down below of your score work.
