A Voice the Animation

A Voice the Animation

Project Overview

It's an animation series that focuses on a girl names Logan who aspires to become a singer, but has trouble singing because of her androgynous voice so she tries to hide it. It will also revolve around her best friend named Rosa who aspires to become a voice actor.

Setting: Miami

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

-You don't need to know how to understand Spanish or have a perfect accent (I will provide the translation), but every now and then there will be scenes where they speak Spanish.
--There is one character who will speak very little French every now and then, but again, I will provide the translation.

-I'm not too picky on the microphones, but at least not a terrible quality one.

NOTE
--I am currently still looking for composers that are able to write either music or lyrics or even play an instrument. If you know any, please let them know if they want to help out. Any type of genre is acceptable.
--There will be more characters, but these are the current necessary characters.

If you want to audition as a composer, submit here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qQGbmebymwFZqco801J1e1eHQuJ3YrxGRINlpvlTDBc/edit?usp=sharing

UPDATE
--Regardless of gender, you can audition as whomever you want.
--- The deadline will be moved up if necessary.

She's a Hispanic aspiring singer who "can't sing" as she dubs herself. Although she can talk normally with more of an adult female voice, she has an easier time singing oppositely due to her androgynous voice which she is self-conscious about.
She finds it embarrassing to sing in front of other people aside from Enrique and Rosa. Her Spanish lacks grammatically because she grew up speaking more English and sometimes even stutters when speaking Spanish.

Voice: Medium-pitched tone; mature woman (can lean towards a boy tone as well)
Singing: Medium tone; boyish

  • How am I supposed to become a singer with no skills...?

  • El no habla Español. Que es lo que necesita?

  • Sing in a female tone and a male tone. The female tone needs to be more stressed and lack compared to the male tone.

He's a composer and likes composing songs for Logan. He's very calm around everyone except Logan and Rosa where he acts more childish since he's comfortable around them.
He has a bad habit of flirting with anyone including men too.

He's from Spain so he has an accent when speaking Spanish.
Sometimes sings.

Voice: boyish tone, sometimes switches to childish tone when speaking with Rosa and Logan.
Singing: Same tone, but calming.

  • How about rooming with me? I have an extra room in my house.

  • (gasp) pobrecito mi niño! come here. shh. it's okay..."

  • Sing anything you want.

He's Half-French and Half-American. He's traveling "scouting" for people.
He's not very good when talking to people (especially women) and can't speak Spanish very well without mixing it up with French.
Since he learned both French and English at the same time, he's not completely fluent in both and will mix in both whilst speaking sometimes.
The one thing he always has trouble with when speaking English is his pronunciation of the "J" which will always have a soft sound to it.

He has a gentle and calm nature and is shy towards those he's never met, but opens up more to those that he befriends. Though he's always more quiet or speaks low even to those he befriends.
He's also not very independent and others often have to help him when he makes mistakes.

He's optimistic towards the future of others, but has trouble being optimistic about his own future.

Voice medium tone. He has a very clear and calming voice.

  • (Flustered) Like I said, I don't know Spanish! What are you saying?!

  • Please don't stereotype me with thinking that I can't live without baguettes or having a really weird mustache...

  • Huh? Speak French? Then... If formal greeting is fine; Je m'appelle Jacques. comment vous t'appelle?"

Logan's producer when she was signed with a company. He fired her because she wasn't bringing in enough fans.

Minor character. No literally, he only has two lines out of the whole first episode. (Will become less of a minor character in future episodes though)

Voice: In between Medium and Low tone.

  • (Laugh nervously) Hey, Logan! Um hey, listen. You've been really great lately, but I'm afraid I gotta let you go now.

  • We've been selling less CD's lately and you've been losing fans because of your 'emotionless' voice. It's pretty bad for my company, understand? Sooo... You've been great, see ya!
