A Thousand Currents – An Audio Novel

The story follows Mihonosuke Tachibana, A To-Be royal bride in the large and thriving Island kingdom, Havarleshica (Have-are-lesh-shi-Ka). As the eldest daughter of the King and Queen, Mihonosuke (Miho for short) is betrothed to an English Prince named Toffee whom, quite frankly, hate each other. On their wedding day, a huge waterspout occurs and causes the whole island to sink to the ocean floor. Miho, Toffee, Shaniia(Miho's Lady in Waiting), Olivia (Miho's younger sister), and multiple other islanders escape due to the help of a young sailor named Darvinan and his death/blind father Marvin. Together, they find themselves arriving at yet another small island with a population of a thousand. A thousand sea monsters.

Character Descriptions:


Princess Mihonosuke Armaina Tachibana: 16 years old; Dark Haired; Pale eyes; Brave; Independent; A Singer. Her voice is open to interpretation, as long as she sounds confident in her words.


Prince Toffee Alois Alric the Third: 18 years old; Brown Hair; Blue eyes; Cowardly;Dependent; Bossy; A Poet. His voice should be in the mid range but is open to interpretation.


Darvinan Boise: 22 years old; Blonde; Black eyes; Awkward; Talkative; Prone to whistle. His voice is mid-range or lower.


Shaniia Armonze: 17 years old; Red haired; Green eyed; Shy; Motherly; A dancer. Her voice should be high but not annoyingly high (if you know what i mean).


CASTED TO: Pincamo


Princess Olivia Talamia Tachibana: 13 years old; Similar appearance to Mihonosuke(Sister); Dramatic; Gullible; A actor. Her voice is open to interpretation as long as its 'Child-Like'.

Queen Larvaina: 40 years old; Similar appearance to Olivia and Miho (Her daughters);Bland; Worn-out; Her voice is on the deeper end.


King Vistruvius II: 48 years old; Grey haired; blue eyes; Miho and Olivia's father; Husband of Queen Larvaina; Powerful; Scary; His voice is deep and commanding.

Duke Damainian: Middle aged; Dark eyed and haired; Jealous; Rude; Voice should be deep and raspy.

Dutches Damainian: Middle aged; Dark eyed and haired; Jealous; Rude; Voice open to interpretation.


Amelia Damainian: 14 years old; Dark eyed and haired; Jealous; Rude; Voice should be high and nasaly.

Sirena: An ancient mermaid-like creature. Secretive; Playful; Singing part. Voice open to interpretation.

Merrp: An ancient half human half octopus creature. Entirely up to interpretation.

Sesheenasa: A ancient half snake half human creature. Powerful; Scary. Voice should be deep.

Lain: An entirely human looking mermaid. Genderless; Offspring of Marla; Open to interpretation.

Queen Marla: The Queen of the Sea Island; Human Mermaid (Like Lain); Kind; Loving; Her voice should be sweet sounding.


CASTED TO: Fourceonnature


Narrator: Open to interpretation.


[NEW!] Princess Restori Mehkai Tachibana: 24 years old. A human raised by monsters as a monster. Not many details since most of this characters past is a secret to be annouced. Voice open to interpretation.


7/4/16[NEW!] Amori: Grimori's twin. The more bubbly and excited of the two. The two of them are hybrids of  a sea horse and human (Don't ask). Voice can be mid to upper range. Appears around episode 3.

REQUIRMENTS:


-Microphone with a sample/word rate of 44.1 kHz or higher. The Blue Snowball, for example, is 44.1.


(Sorry, but if your using your built-in phone or laptop ect. Mic, it most likely isn't good enough. You can still try though!)


-Must be comfortable with PG-13 scenes. Not extreme but not anything you'd want to play to your grandmother ( ;


-Acting skills (DUH!). Lines shouldn't sound like a robot. Try practicing the lines BEFORE you record.


-A Skype account.
