SYNOPSIS
Corry Seen, freshly 19 and out of high school, struggles to get their bearings in the world as they struggle at the hands of old relationships and a demon over their shoulder, all the while having to manage crumbling relationships, mental health struggles, and facing a past they've hidden.

This project was started in 2020 originally to be a Gacha Life mini movie that was written based off a roleplay done by the author and their cousin, it had since evolved into the project previously known as Just Another Dark Turn from 2023-2024 which was supposed to be a fully animated Gacha Life series for YouTube, there was a nearly full cast, an entire season written, and a lot of progress being made. The author, however, found that the series wasn't the right option, and they had canceled the project, shifted the timeline forward, and opted to make this story as a Visual Novel on Ren'py, finally renaming it to A Mask Torn Asunder Inspired by Doki Doki Literature Club, Class Of '09, Danganronpa, Stranger Things, and Helluva Boss, This story features 20+ characters with their own unique arcs, 2 chapters, 2 main routes, and a lonesome ending utilizing the illusion of choice.
CONTENT WARNINGThis project, story, and game are all rated for audiences aged 16+ due to the following content: Cussing and other derogatory language, Detailed depictions of mental health disorders and eating disorders, Mentions of religious trauma, Showcased bigotry (not in support of), Sexually suggestive themes, Self-Harm/Suicide, Murder or other death, Implied but not shown sexual violence, Mild-gore/blood, Kidnapping, Physical violence, and other dark themes.
I would prefer if most of the voice actors were 18+, however, 16+ is fine too (as I do have some people 16+ in the cast already)
