3D animation series of High School Debut

Project Overview




Over the past 4 months I have created a fan made animation series based on the manga Strobe Edge.



I am wanting to create a number of manga adoptions and High School Debut : Koukou Debut is my next story.



I cant offer any payment for your voice acting but Strobe Edge was quite popular so it should be good experience.



This manga has a lot more comedy and the characters have more complicated roles, so finding the right voice could take awhile. I suggest reading the manga for a few chapters to get a 'feel' for this manga. Especially the main female 'Haruna' and Male 'Yoh'



I don't want any voice to sound to high, as I find that to be an annoying trait in many anime dubs but your welcome to do a number of takes and audition for every role.



Each role is big, they all have a few episodes dedicated to them, so some of the audition lines are quite long. More side characters will be added further down the line, but for now these are all we need to get the first episodes done :)

A "total hottie" who's in the grade above Haruna. He knows the ideas on how to impress men from a woman's point of view. Although a little shy and easily embarrassed, he represents a figure of cool demeanor, he was even once confessed to by most of the girls in his class.

  • No way, its too much trouble. I bet she only started caring about her appearance in high school.

  • Girl always go nuts about liking or not liking someone, and then they get all depressed and cry. There's no way I'll do it. I hate girls.

  • Those sleeves put more emphasis on your muscular arms. Your hairstyle doesn't match the clothes. You and Asami have totally different styles. Finished.

Yoh's friend, He's a bit on the slow side, not getting some things straight even if it is right before his eyes. His caring demeanor was suddenly vicious when women and children are being bullied or harassed. His nickname is "Sleeping Bear" which was given to him when he used to do judo.

  • We heard that you're coaching a girl to become attractive.

  • Totally, its amazing! In elementary school Yoh got asked out by all the girls in his class.

  • Haruna what are you talking about? Don't worry! You are a really nice girl!! You told those guys off and not to laugh at me! That made me really happy, Haruna you're fun to be with, and I know there will be guys who will like you!!

Yoh's friend. He has a part-time job at a restaurant, and like Fumiya, he is calm and caring (fortunately, he has some common sense and is not as dense as Fumiya). Yoh says that ninety percent of what Asaoka says is out of kindness and that whomever goes out with him would be happy because of all the kind words he says.

  • There was always some letter or present in his shoebox, and on valentine day, he got so many chocolates that he had to take them home in huge garbage bags!

  • Ah, the beads incident is taboo.

  • Maybe you've already found someone your interested in? And your comparing them to him? When your concentrating on something, its hard to focus on other things, you know? Perhaps you arnt attracted to other guys, because your already interested in someone else.

Haruna's best friend since middle school. She is notably calm and collected, being able to read Haruna like an open book.
Haruna often has a very high opinion of Mami believing that she is 'amazing. She describes Mami as kind, clever and calm, which is often replied to by the statement that Mami is a 'nice girl' or a 'good girl'

  • Hmm...Maybe you cant do it alone, I mean a good softball team also has a good coach right? So Haruna, maybe you need someone like a coach to teach you, somebody who knows what guys look for in a girl.

  • I don't mind you coming to read shoujo manga, but could you not read out loud?

  • Did Yoh come all this way to visit you during lunch just so that he could coach you? The stuff he says all make sense too. Its a good thing that he agreed to coaching you!

Yoh's little sister. Although she's pretty and admired by many boys, she often shows her conceited side. She has a serious brother complex. She wants Yoh and Haruna to be together, but she sometimes tries to protect her older brother when she thinks Haruna is trying to get to Yoh sexually.
She has a mischievous side which can cause others trouble. Yoh once accused her of being "mischievous and evil", her response: "No, I'm just mischievous."

  • It's true that a lot of girls like my brother, but he says harsh things in a really blunt way, so he ends up hurting all the girls that come near him.

  • Don't worry you look really cute! You'll defiantly get picked up!

  • I wonder if Haruna's got picked up yet? Isn't it funny how hard she tries?

A high-school girl who played softball and was devoted to manga in middle school. She is known to be a very dense person.
Haruna can be described as simple-minded and doesn't seem to pay much attention to her surroundings, though she is very kind hearted and cannot refuse anyone who needs help.

  • Something, I must be doing something wrong! Do I look weird? They must all know I'm not used to this!! (Dialogue note, this is read as a thought 'Haruna Narrator')

  • I made a decision. I'd given my all to my club activity in middle school, so in high school I want to give my all to finding true love! (Dialogue note, this is read as a thought 'Haruna Narrator')

  • I'm a first year, my name is Haruna nagashima!! Will you coach me in how to be attractive?? I want to know what guys like, I want to fall in love!!!
