About lynndonia
Kara Lynn Haack
Raised in a small, athletically driven farm town in south-eastern Minnesota, I grew up thinking that in order to be successful in the arts, I needed to move to Los Angeles, live out of my car, "do film," and focus my entire career on screen acting and screen acting alone, because that's what I was most passionate about, and like most adolescents, I thought I had to "chose."
I saw theater as nothing more than another form of entertainment. It was flashy, overdone, and often boring. Little did I know, I lived just an hour away from one of the biggest hubs for experimental theater in the US.
Now operating out of Minneapolis, MN, I look to contribute to and create experimental theater that challenges those same ideas I'd had as a child and leaves audiences with a new understanding of Theatre as an art form. And while I still maintain a "real job", I try to use voice acting and other side projects as a main source of income.
I look forward to studying Theatre Performance at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where I hope to integrate dance and performance creation into my education.
