Why hello there!
I'm Matthew Serra and welcome to my CCC profile specifically the About Me section of said profile! Yea!
I've always wanted to be an actor growing up and by the time I got to college I was really immersed in the art of creating characters, analyzing scripts and figuring out which techniques worked best for me. I've performed in tons of musicals and plays, one of which I received a Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Irene Ryan Nomination. I also received an Arts & Humanities Division Award for Excellence in Theatre and finally my Associates Degree in Fine Arts. I decided the next move for me was to continue my education at The Lee Strasberg Institute of Film & Theatre in NY, to follow in the footsteps of my favorite actors and learn the craft of Method Acting and received my One Year Conservatory Certificate. Since then I have made my Off Broadway debut at The American Theatre of Actors, performed in a musical at The McCarter Theatre under renowned acting coach Larry Moss (LarryMoss.com), assistant taught Acting For Film and Commedia Dell Arte classes at LSTFI, starred in films, a commercial and auditioned to become a member of The Actors Studio making it to the tertiary round. While I love the stage and screen, I would love to expand my craft into the world of Voice Acting as well! I plan on enrolling in classes to learn the techniques necessary to become a great voice actor, and hope that I get to work with you!
