Dan was born and raised in California. He grew up immersed in a creative community surrounded by theater and arts. Inspired by a family member involved in local theater, it did not take long for Dan to find his way to the stage. At nine years old, he began acting and quickly fell in love with theater. His list of theatrical credits grew each passing year through high school.

After graduating from California State University, Northridge, Dan pursued another passion of his—law enforcement. He became a police officer at his alma maters police department and was given the responsibility in providing crime prevention lectures and community safety workshops. He also provided realistic television and radio media reenactments for various police training exercises.   

Dan began pursuing his professional career as a voice actor once he discovered the documentary, “I Know That Voice,” produced by John DiMaggio.

“I was listening to John DiMaggio explain voice over when a light bulb went off. THIS is what I'm meant to be doing!” Dan recalls. "I've always had an appreciation for cartoons, stop animation, the people and voices behind them; I just didn't know you could pursue a career in voice over."

Since his “ah-ha” moment, Dan has trained with various voice over artists in Los Angeles, including Bob Bergen, Jodi Gottlieb, Richard Horvitz, and many more. 

Dan currently lends his talents at Universal Studios Parks & Resorts, Hollywood, voicing Optimus Prime and Megatron as well as in Seminar, an anthology story, as the voice(s) of The Student (Alex and Thomas).
