About Daniel Murphy VA

Hi, my name is Daniel Murphy and I am a voice actor, video editor, and music composer.


I have been voice acting for half a year and have been working at various courses and techniques in order to better my acting. I've even been doing the voice acting courses here on CCC. I plan on going serious with my voice acting. As a result, voice acting is what my account here is mainly for. I specialize in doing teenager and young adult voices.


I have been editing videos for around a year or so. I am a self-taught video editor in Adobe Premiere and love to animate using it.



I have been playing music since I was 8 years old (11 years) and I have been composing for about 3 years.  I am an advanced cello player, and self-taught amateur piano player, and a self-taught novice guitar player. Throughout my years of playing, I have taught myself music theory and how to compose with various DAWs.

An introductory course into voice acting that I took. This course thought me the basics of projection, articulation, analyzing copy, and the start of taking risks.

This course is also known as "Acting it out". Here we went more in-depth with acting in general. We started off the course by learning 4 common acting methods. The Stanislavski, Straussburg, Alder, and Meisner methods of acting. We also learned how to dig even deeper in copies and how to analyze an audition. We also discussed character quirks, nuances, and patterns to really take risks with them.

This course is also known as the "emotional roller coaster". Here I learned how to express all the emotions to scripts. Analysis of copy was more important here. We used controlled and manipulated variables in order to express not only the emotion of a character but their hidden intention. This was also a class where taking risks was a big concept and we studied character analysis as well.
