The narrator sets the scene for the characters within the story. I am not picky about a voice type or accent, but it must be clean audio and be easily understood. Although this is an "audio drama," I don't want a "dramatic reading" style; just a natural cadence and flow.


For the audition, please give one readthrough of this excerpt from "A Game of Thrones" by George R. R. Martin, just so I can get a feel for your voice and narration style. No need for multiple takes!

  • The morning had dawned clear and cold, with a crispness that hinted at the end of summer. They set forth at daybreak to see a man beheaded, twenty in all, and Bran rode among them, nervous with excitement. This was the first time he had been deemed old enough to go with his lord father and his brothers to see the king's justice done. It was the ninth year of summer, and the seventh of Bran's life.

I really like your voice. You've got a great natural rhythm. The only note I've got is that sometimes your words kind of run together. But as long as you're mindful of your enunciation I'd say this is pretty great. Thank you for auditioning!
