This is the main character, Jamie’s, mum who is not in it much at all, she is there near the beginning and in the Christmas special and you hear her voice on rare occasions whilst Jamie sleeps in season one. She is not in the same world as Jamie which is why she is not in it much.

(Her son has just admitted his suicidal tendencies) (A little in tears at her son's words. Holding them back. Concern) Listen to me... We won't let things get to that state I promise. If you ever need to talk I am always here for you, morning, noon and night. If I'm asleep, wake me up, I don't mind. Anything for you honey. Anything to keep you safe

There is a tinge of a foreign accent in the reading. It does not sound naturally British I'm afraid.
