Jean Corrigan is the current titular character’s late grandmother and the first Fox in the Fedora.   Arguably pacifistic in nature, Jean’s younger days were filled with daring-do, treks into ancient tombs, surviving by the skin of her teeth, and matching wits with unsavory characters and unholy beings.  Many hard knocks have taught her valuable life lessons that have only made her wiser.  With the spirit of adventure locked in her heart, she put aside her days of daring-do to raise her grandchild after he was orphaned at infancy.

CHARACTERS THEY'RE MOST LIKE:

-Gramma Tala (Moana)

-Aunt May (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)

TECH REQUIREMENTS:

-Quiet recording area (treated room preferred).  If you can't treat your room, recommend setting up a thick blanket behind you.  Whatever deadens the natural echo or reverb in your recording area.  This link is to a picture of one of our other main cast member's setup: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e693m86ga89re80/photo_2022-07-22_04-07-47.jpg?dl=0

-Minimum type microphone should be the Elgato Wave: 3 or something of equivalent quality and power.  USB mics permitted but XLR mics preferred.

-Record using any software that will allow you to export as RAW .WAV files.  Clean up will be handled by another member of the crew.  Please check your recording to ensure your takes don't have any mic pops, plosives, mic glitches, or voice/tongue/saliva clicking.

Export settings: .WAV, mono, 32 bit 48khz (24bit or 16bit 44.1khz works too).

NOTE: You may be asked to perform small bit parts/background characters with minimal lines (i.e. Henchman #3) on top of this role.

  • A hero? *scoffing laugh* Piffle. I don’t think I’d want to be a hero. I’ve known heroes, though. You might not believe it, but... most of them don’t get to ride off into the sunset like in the movies, or get their happily ever after like in the storybooks. That’s what makes them heroes. They give up so much, everything, for others.

  • You just remember that ol’ Grandma is right next door. Any monsters under the bed or in the closet? You just call, kiddo. I’ll take care of’em. You can bet on that.
