Merely advising that with all the loyal subjects that have come to renew their fealty to you, it would not be wise to ignore them while insteadl flirting, so disgracefully, with your son’s bride. It does not provide the best impression of this kingdom...or it’s ruler.

 As a parent, I’m certain you will understand. When my Baldur was born, he was so beautiful and pure and perfect. As his mother, I could not bear the thought of him being hurt or harmed by anything within this or any realm.

I was quite the sorceress in my youth, it was little more than child’s play to devise a spell. This particular spell would ask all things, living and not, to never bring harm to my boy.

Well, unfortunately there is only one thing I was unable to enchant. The mistletoe, I’m afraid, was far too young to understand my spell’s request. 

Oh do you share my pain? Did you birth them?! Because I bore every single one of those boys, the very idea that I could ever inflict harm to any of them is ludicrous! To say nothing of the agony I feel in my heart as though a piece of me has been ripped away!
