One: Original Short Film
Winn Manning for Shrink
Shrink's gender is never specified. This casting is open to any gender, or anyone who identifies as nonbinary.
I am looking for a young adult to senior voice style for Shrink. Although never stated, Shrink is meant to be perceived as a psychiatrist. When delivering these lines, imagine you are a therapist giving advice to your client.
Shrink seems to "know all". Although sometimes confused by One's scattered thoughts, Shrink stays constant throughout the short. Persistent, calm, and stoic.
**This short film is from the perspective of One's mind. They are a lost, conflicted soul, portrayed as many things throughout the entirety of the short. They don't understand that Shrink is a psychiatrist, and that they are in fact in a mental hospital, despite the fact that the short is filmed on a beach.**
Shrink: Under law I am entitled to report if you are a danger to yourself or others.
Shrink: (Confused) What do you mean? What are you seeing? It’s just us out here.
Shrink: You can’t run anymore. They might have finally caught up to you. We have caught up to you.
