On the main throughway, there are two men. One, bound with rope and struggling on the ground, is the ARMADILLO SHERIFF. He came to ARMADILLO from NEW ENGLAND seeking a new life. But now standing over him, carrying a large cask of moonshine, is the KING OF CUPS. The Sheriff is terrified, in over his head, and full of regret in coming here. He is in hysterics.

    Let me go! For the love of God let me go!

    I’m a good man! Please! I don’t deserve to die like this!
