Jackson is the first person Melody meets in the story who she develops a friendship, then a crush on him. Jackson has a secret he doesn't even know, he's a RAD (monster). Being the grandson of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, when Jackson get's too hot he becomes DJ Hyde, a confident, cool kid/playboy, very different from Jackson. He's chaotic and loves to party, not like Jackson who prefers the quiet.
