Paid: Flat Rate 10 USD
Role assigned to: Alastair Vox

Being a Tryll, Andron would have to be brilliant to make it in the world of drywalkers. Luckily, he was. His people have lived underwater for thousands of years, and they seem content doing it. But Andron was fascinated with the walking world and he couldn't stay put. It didn't take long before he became one of the world's leading scientific minds. His work with souls was revolutionary. But under the fame and glory, he is a normal man, if only one with gills. Even with all of his success he doesn't feel good enough. He always has to keep pushing, balancing his work and his celebrity status.  One day he will be appearing in front of thousands of awed spectators, exuding confidence, and the next he will be crying to himself in the corner of his lab.  He has set the expectations too high for himself, and there is no going back now.

Andron has a deep voice; assured and confident when he is presenting, but unsure and self-conscious when he is alone.

~700 Words

  • (A rehearsed speech to an audience)

“We have much to learn about souls, but they are what defines us. They are all around us, in everything. In you, in me, in the ants, in the clouds... Everywhere.”

“Our studies show that souls are tethered to our bodies from the second plane of reality. When we die that tether is severed as our body can no longer be an effective vessel. Ladies and gentlemen, while most scientists studied the soul or the body, I studied the tether, and it has lead to a great discovery.”

  • (One on one conversation. He seems different without a crowd in front of him.)

“My deepest condolences go out to you. She was a great assistant. One of the brightest women I ever met.”

    (Greatly strained, breathing heavily)

“Blink if you can hear me, blink if it worked.”

  • (Serious and grave)

“Do you realize what you are offering to do?”

“Yes. With an augmented body, it would be far easier to replace and repair parts that wear down. But I am not saying there would be no downsides. You would have no pain, no sense of smell, no sense of touch. Your range of motion would be detrimentally handicapped. I could go on but listen, I don’t want to force you through this.”

Wow, this one was amazing. How close would you say this is to your normal speaking voice? Your low range from other auditions is amazing.
